Leather Luster Kit Hi Gloss Patent Leather Finish Black

A high shine is required of my job and after initial application this product is quick and easy to maintain. Just wipe with a soft cloth and go. The secret here is two fold. First you need to break your shoes or boots in really well. This makes them look nice once applied. Second is cleaning - when you think you've got em clean, you've just started. Several thin coats of leather luster with sufficient dry time in between and you are set. A couple of notes though. This is not a do them tonight wear them the next day product. It takes a while for them to dry, I took 2 days. Let them dry really well between coats. The result is well worth it. Also pleather may not like the cleaner as it can remove the fake texture so test it out first. You can still use this, you just can't get aggressive with cleaning like you HAVE to with genuine leather. With pleather you just need to get any dirt or chemicals from manufacturing off, with leather you need to remove excess dye. As for the reviews that state it cracks....going on 3 years and zero cracks. My husband and I both use this and work 12 hour shifts. Personally I think half of those claiming it cracks haven't even used the stuff and the ones who have and did have cracking tried to do heavy coats instead of light ones. Wear gloves and protect your work surface with a garbage bag and do not get it on your clothes.

Works perfectly

I use these for my police boots as my agency requires polished black boots. Using this product takes time and patience but once you do it right it looks incredible and last months. Once they look dirty I wipe them with a wet cloth and they look perfect again.

I did not like this product at all. After spending a whole weekend carefully putting it on, allowing ample time to dry between coats, it looked great for one day before beginning to crack. I decided to take it off, it’s been 2 hours now of using the remover on them and I only got half of it off. I’m buying a new pair of boots because of this.

Leather Luster is awesome. My boots look inspection ready after months with Leather Luster and only requires the occasional touch-up!

Good product

It works fantastic however mine started to solidify in the can after two months it must have been a defective can.
