Mead Spiral Notebook, 1-Subject, Graph Ruled Paper, 7-1/2" x 10-1/2", 100 Sheets, Color Will Vary (05676)

You would think that a grid ruled notebook isn't much to get exited about but if you use these as often as I do you get particular about several aspects of a notebook. The trouble with most grid notebooks, and I've searched far and wide, is the darkness of the lines. I have expensive Clairefontaine grid books with expensive paper designed for fountain pens. The trouble is that the lines are so dark they compete with my layouts. What you want are lines that you can just barely see. Don't worry, they'll be fine when you do your drawings because you'll be looking for them, in fact many times I just use the lines as a rough background to do my isometric drawings.The other important aspect is how well they erase. Some papers fall apart with the least eraser abrasion but not these Mead notebooks, they hold up to lots of erasures, just make sure you use a good gum eraser and not one designed to remove ink with abrasive material in it. ( I don't use ink very often with grid notebooks, the best pencils are mechanical ones with 5mm to 7mm leads.)I also find the square sizing just about right to, at five squares per inch my drawings work well on the page. Any finer and the lines start competing with the drawing.I keep one in my shop for quick layouts and one by my computer to do rough sketches that I transfer to my CAD (Computer Aided Design) programs.I bought these from Amazon, Office Max is supposed to have them but I didn't find them there. Worked out great for the price.

I liked that the grid lines are lighter than some other notebooks, it allowed me to see my work better.

We buy these every year. You can't go wrong with Mead.

Update these cables are great. Great customer service to replace a set of cables that were defective would recommend!

This arrived quickly and as expected. I knew there would be a minor flaw in the cover. Now that I've received it, I understand why the flaw came about: the cover is very thin and not sturdy or providing much protection for the paper behind it. The spiral binding isn't all that great, either - also thin.

Love these. They are so versatile. Just wish I could get them in a ten pack for a better price.

It's fine as described but you can get them from any store and where else for way less. As described but not worth the money
