Works Pretty Good 👍
I gotta give this 5 stars. It works rather well. It's not perfect or high end but it works. Sure some other ones are made better and may reduce the vertical up n down better but it's only slightly better and not worth the price difference.I like how it folds in and becomes a case for the pocket. Whip it out and you've got some smooth stabilization. The bracket that holds the pocket would have been better if you could tighten it. It's just snug enough so it doesn't slip down bc if you go to low it covers the buttons. After time it may get a little looser but a slight piece of something like tape could be used for a tighter fit. No biggy.Overall build is good it's not junk or cheap feels ok to good. The phone holder is metal 👍 nice solid piece. There are 2 quarter 20s I'm going figure out how to mount a cold shoe for an external mic. This is worth getting at around $16. May get another for my other Pocket. 😉👍

Junk that broke almost immediately
Cheaply made junk. Tried to adjust the tension so that the camera wasn't hanging so low, and the tiny screw stripped and now I can't adjust the tension at all and the screw won't even stay in place. Cheap cheap cheap. Love my Osmo pocket, and all other accessories I bought for it work great, but this one was a total waste of money. Don't bother.

Nice little z-axis stabilizer for the Osmo Pocket
I believe the best camera for the job is the one you have with you, and I like to travel light. When I travel everything I take with me has to fit in an airline carry-on bag and a small backpack. So my camera gear has to be really compact.I like to pack a nice compact camera with a 1" sensor (a Panasonic ZS-100 or LX-10) and an Osmo Pocket with a TinyRigs case that holds a few useful Osmo accessories. In a perfect world that would be all I need.In a perfect world, I'd also be a Ninja-walk magician. Alas, mine is not a perfect world. This inexpensive and compact Z-axis stabilizer is not a cure-all magical solution for smooth walking video. With a little practice, however, it does a great job of smoothing out walking footage and gives it a more professional look. Best of all it does this with minimal added weight and volume in my bags without breaking the bank. With a little -- two or three hours -- practice this z-axis rig may not make your world a perfect one, but it will help you deliver the smooth walking video you're looking for.One last note: If you buy this, you'll also want a short, 30cm/1ft OTG cable to connect your Osmo Pocket and your smartphone.Pros:* Compact* Lightweight* Stores into its own handle* Inexpensive* Really smooths out the bounce in your walking video footageCons:* It's not a great Osmo Pocket storage case. No room for *any* Osmo accessories.* The body of the stabilizer "case" becomes the handle when you unfold it, which helps keep it compact, but it's not a comfortable grip to hold for long periods of time.

It Works
I use it with an iPhone 6 but it can also be used w/o any phone at all. You will need to buy a short cord - I bought this:Rantow Extension Video Data Cable Compatible with DJI Osmo Pocket Handheld Gimbal Camera, Universal OTG Wire to Connect Micro-USB Type-C iOS Phone/Tablet (11.8 inch Cable for iOS) Overall I am happy with this purchase. It does work. I think it, or something like it, is a necessary item to have - it absolutely makes a difference. My concern is the quality of construction. Granted this didn't cost much (I paid $23.64) but this simple little gadget feels and looks very delicate, cheap and primitive - this gadget is basically just a spring between your Pocket and your phone(or the handle) that absorbs some of the up and down motion when you walk. I have a strong hunch this will be breaking soon even with caution. Meanwhile, I have smooooth looking videos. Wish they would make a metal version of this.FYI, while they do supply an allen wrench for the adjustment, I still needed a very small wrench for the locking nut end. Suggest a better and easier way to adjust - wingnut?

I want to like this, but it's a bit of a let down
The media could not be loaded. Originally, I was going to go with the ScottyMakesStuff brand of z-axis stabilizer for the Osmo Pocket, but I found this one, which was cheaper and had overall good reviews. Out of the box, everything seems very nice, sturdy, and I like all of the accessories you get with it.However, when I went to put it to use, I didn't see the noticeable difference that I was hoping for. I understand that the Osmo Pocket is small and it's hard to remove all bounce, but I feel like I could have received as good of results...or at least similar results, by just simply "ninja walking". The best output I was able to get, was to use the stabilizer and still "ninja walk".I attempted to readjust the screw a little bit and try different settings, tighter and looser, but I still could never get the Pocket to appear like it wasn't be walked with. I was hoping to use this for real estate walk-throughs, but it might not suffice.

Very Well Designed. Functions Very Well
This is a very well designed product. It is easy to use.Balance adjustment is easy.It eliminated that up and down movement created when you walk. The design has covered many bases - for example: the easy of use, it allowed for possible expanded use, the attachment of an additional hand grip to the base, ease of balance adjustment. Not a fan of the soft rubber washers used to act as grip washers on the screw mount lock for the phone mount. They distorted and failed, under the applied pressure of adjusting the position of the phone mount. But that is minor and I can easily replace them with better hard plastic versions from any local hardware store.

Kinda works.
A bit too light gauge. The spring adjust works, but the balance is not graceful. Not heavy enough. I'd go with the chunkier version. This wont make you happy of Z axis stability is what you want.
