This book will help us elucidates our expectations in the working world.
I recommended this for newcomers to the workforce, this book effectively elucidates the expectations of the working world. The author skillfully communicates essential insights. However, For individuals like me with several years of professional experience might find limited novelty in the content. While it may not offer groundbreaking revelations for seasoned professionals, there are still valuable reminders and noteworthy points to consider. Overall, it proves beneficial for those navigating the early stages of their career, though its value diminishes for those with more extensive work experience.

Good book on its own - even better with discussion
Some of the stuff in this book was intuitive. But a coworker and I both bought the book then discussed, and I was amazed at the different stuff he got out of it versus me. I think the book discussion elevated the book (and is probably true for any "self help" book). I probably would have ranked it three stars otherwise. It's worth a buy, and even more worth it if you discuss with someone else who reads it. It motivated me to find my weaknesses, and figure out a way to improve them. It also encouraged me to keep moving in my career, and to ask for more stuff.

If you want to get ahead, buy this book
The best book on this subject. No non-sense, practical, sensible advice on how to survive and thrive at work. It is an honest book, so be ready for some hard truths. But I think this book is exactly on-point, and I applaud the author for making this information available to us, and distilling it in a way that's so easy to understand (and with discipline, to implement). In fact, after I read this book, I had a lot of "aha" moments. Things that used to confuse me before are clear now. This book will allow you to understand how companies make decisions, why you didn't get promoted after your glowing review, how to navigate the office. It's an indispensable book for anyone who cares about their career.

Excellent book essential reading
I hate the career game but needed to know the rules. This book is perfect in telling you what you need to know about pronation. I learned I a lot though some of it is sad you need to know It. You can't advance in, win, or change the game if you don't understand its current rules. If you can please change the game please do its a rigged game and needs to be fixed or redone entirely.

Very well written, well considered primer on career mobility
This is now one of my favorite career books I've ever read. Writing style is intelligent and readable. I'm walking away with a more informed view of the American workplace, plus actionable tips I can use tomorrow. Concrete advice and descriptive examples by high-achieving interviewees and HR. Strong recommend.
