I had a failing TPMS sensor on one of my tires, and didn't have time to get it replaced before a long road trip. For peace of mind, I ordered this system. Installation was pain-free and quick, though setup on the device was a bit tricky due to the positioning of the display in the center stack of my 2013 Outback.Visibility is the worst part of this system, which is why I docked one star. The display is not very large, and based on the angle(s) that most 12V adapters offer, it's going to be a struggle to read the data. And if you wear polarized sunglasses, you will not be able to read the display at all.In hindsight, I likely would have gone with a system that is solar or USB-powered, to allow for flexibility in positioning the display. However, for the price and what I need it for, this system performs just fine.

theirs always a but, right. this unit is replacing a blaupunkt tpms system which is totally overpriced. this tpms system showed up quickly and with just a bit of head scratching on setup was on the car in about an hour. the only concern i have is that when i went to peel the clear film off of the screen, the entire screen came off with the film. the adhesive around the screen was dry and i pressed the screen back in place and it seems to hold fine. it is not actually the lcd screen but the protective screen for the lcd. the unit powered up, connected within a minute and i am off and running and so far happy.

I will be returning this product. Details below.I wanted this setup because my 4runner only tells you once your pressure it low. I needed more information on the fly. I decided to use this unit because it looked extremely straight forward. Installation was as expected, no surprises. I give it 5 stars for installation.Programming the unit for my needs wasnt really bad once I put myself and the unit in a position to be able to see the tiny screen, more on this later. Programming was quite simple once you read the instructions once. After that it wasnt complicated to understand.Now, let's talk visibility, IT SUX! The backlighting isnt effective at all, and if the sun is shining on it, it is useless. There is also the fact that the screen isnt centered, so some of the readouts are not able to be seen once I plug it into the 12v outlet. It is also lacking if you arent looking directly at it. Any angle that isnt direct view, isnt useful at all. Once you have it programmed as desired, the important information can be read, but it takes effort, and if in motion will require you to take your eyes off the road for 3 to 5 seconds.If you want a compact unit, this thing is that. Very small footprint. But I'd recommend getting a unit with a bigger screen that allows for seeing the numbers at a glance.The pressure readouts can be displayed in PSI or Bars. You can also get temperature readouts of each wheel as well, in Farenheit or Celsius. The PSI measurements seem to be spot on. I measured using 3 different units and all were within 2-3 PSI of each other averaging at what I set the psi on the compressor to.This setup is affordable, and can be effective, but it lacks the convenience needed for me to recommend it. There were just too many sacrifices made in order to keep the setup extremely compact.Does the unit work? Yes. Is it convenient? No.Is it priced right? Absolutely. How well does the unit perform it's intended function? Moderately OK.It is good enough, until it isnt. I have a feeling I will get frustrated with not being able to see the readout clearly while driving. Once the frustration hits, I'll invest in a unit with a bigger readout that isnt limited to the 12v socket for installation.

The instructions are terrible and poorly translated with inadequate diagrams. The screen is unreadable except in the garage or at night. It is not legible even in shaded daylight much less sunlight. I did manage to get it to read PSI but was not able to get it from centigrade to Fahrenheit. The buttons are poorly accessible if your cigarette lighter socket is recessed in your console. All that said it seems to be accurate and what does one expect for $40?!

It is very easy to install however one of my sensors would stop reading and cause an alarm then it would pick up again after a few seconds. The screen is readable but does wash out pretty easily in sunlight. Would definitely be a star if all my sensors worked correctly.Update: after about 11 months of use, the sensors don't seem to work. I rotated my tires and installed the sensors in the correct positions but all the psi and temp readouts remain the same. I checked my psi and it was nowhere close to what the sensors were saying. The screen seems stuck at whatever the last readout was. I even took a battery out of one of the sensors and it still shows the same psi and temp for it.

The tire pressure monitoring system is easy to install and set up. The small sensors are tightly screwed and never came off in the past week. It might be better to have a USB cable. But anyway this product is very good and worth buying.

It is a very good tire pressure system. Actually, I have the original tire system in my car, but I can not know which tire has the low tire pressure at all. That is the reason I bought this tire pressure system to show me the exact tire with a problem. it is easy to install as well.

I found the instructions to be a little unclear; they mention theft prevention on the product but after installing, I was still able to unscrew the sensor from the tire.I followed the instructions and found installation videos for similar products so I believe I installed it correctly. The hex but provided essentially just makes it more difficult—but not impossible—for someone to remove the sensor.I installed everything in my garage and was able to see display but as soon as I got outside into daylight, the display was very dim and hard to read.I'm sure the product works great, as it seems to for others, but I've returned this for something a bit more easy to read.
