After reading some of the reviews i was a little skeptical about purchasing this. Some buyers didnt even get the correct sword, so i was a little worried. I selected the Ghost pin model with the orange/copper sheath. The sword in the pic was the exact sword i received. It was absolutely beautiful. These are made in china just so you know beforehand. Pros- beautiful design, packaged extremely well, razor sharp, not a toy.Cons- weight seemed heavier than expected, slight ding/scratch on the sheath. Thats it. I would recommend this if you cant afford higher end models. It does feel good holding this sword. Hope this helps.

Okay, I just defended myself against a menacing prickly pear cactus. I’m talking about the kind that has the trunk links that get very hard and dense. This was abuse at its finest, trying 90-degree and 45-degree cuts all over the place. On the very dense parts, the angle made all the difference. After the cactus was felled to where I wanted it to regrow from, I cleaned and oiled the blade. The blade was a little bent, right where I expected a blade would. The edge was completely unaffected. As I read up on it, my research shows this is a sign of very good metallurgy in the blade. I learned how to straighten it and did so easily. As far as the blade is concerned, there is no visible evidence anything happened at all. Based on the vibrations in the hilt when the 90-degree dense link cuts were stopped, I could tell the tang goes to at least an inch past the second wood peg, maybe inch and a half. This is a good sword.

Nice over all package decent price.A very nice looking Katana I would recommend to anyonethe Japanese writing looks nice on the scabbardHammon was really noticable. Id like to add that it feels very confidence inspiring in the hand as if it were made for you.

I was suspect given that the price is very reasonable. For the price, I am amazed at how this katana looks and feels. It is a beautiful piece. The colors of the handle along with the sheath are really beautiful. Also, yes, this thing is sharp! If you are looking for a solid katan that looks good in any room, I would definitely recommend you buying this one. I have no idea what the negative review for this sword is about but I can tell you that it looks like the pics and is sturdy.

I got this to go with my Cold Steel Wakizashi and I am not disappointed. Although if I ever had to swing at something hard, I don't know, tree limbs, etc, I wonder if the blade may break at the handle. I don't think it should, but I'm not confident enough to put it through the tests I put the cold steel through.It's 10 inches longer and about the same weight as my Wakizashi, and overall it feels good. I imagine it could probably take a beating... before it breaks. But a beating none the less! Supposedly the one I got is T10 steel, I look forward to testing/playing with it!

It's a great sword for the price. I'm no expert but I'm happy.

Well done sword,it moves well in space it feels like a chopper.I will go after some scrub trees with this.Bamboo pegs are too big and stick up too far.
