Sharp Digital Alarm with AccuSet - SPC476A

This I put into the guest room it has big enough numbers on it so that it can be seen from a distance or when you're sleeping and have a half awake and you want to see what time it is it's a cute little thing if he's not really little it's not big it's it's a nice size for like a dresser and end table I like how big the numbers are the only trouble that I've had with it was the first one I had to return because one of the lights on the hour didn't work so at 3 never look like a 3 and 9 didn't look like a 9 and I don't know what that 6 was but I was very very impressed with how quickly they got me out of replacement how everything was handled and the replacement works great it's just I had to set the time myself I switch the switches on the back and everything in maybe it was already jumping ahead because daylight savings time starts on Sunday I don't know but I don't see where it connects to a satellite or anyting but that's no big deal I think it was a good buy and again I am so impressed on how quickly they got me out of replacement for the first one that didn't work

My old bedroom clock broke when dropped. I hated setting it every time the power went out so I found this one. It keeps time and has large numbers which are easily read at night. It is compact enough for a small space and bright enough to see across the room. I haven't used the alarm because I am retired.

I bought two of these clocks one year ago despite some review warnings of time digits failing. Really expected more from Sharp. The clocks were EXTRADORNARILY bright white which I fixed by buying a stick on red tail light patch material...had to use two layers to get the brightness toned down. Even with that, I really liked the clocks... kept time...looked nice...simple to operate...was all I needed. BUT at about the 9th month, first ones clock time/number digits started failing...and shortly after that, the second clocks time/digits started failing making it very difficult to know the time without guessing. By this point at 12 months, the clocks are about useless. Too bad...other manufacturers seem to be able to use number digit technology that lasts. Seems odd that two clocks failed about the same time as though there was A BUILT IN SELF-DESTRUCT . You might want to stay away from these clocks...even though the price was pretty enticing. Pretty disappointing!

This clock seems to be nice and should keep the correct time. You have the choice to use Daylight savings time or not. Very to easy to use. However, I do feel the light it is awfully bright at night, even with it set on low. Good nightlight I guess!

Clock setup time by itself as I plugged it in. Great feature. Nice, sturdy looking watch. Really happy with it. Wish dimming capability would allow for more options. It is really high bright light or high light. Overall I’m truly pleased, battery feature to restore time in a blackout circumstance is great. Absolutely recommend for it’s features and comfortable price

This clock with its well-lighted, easy-to-read time digits and an exceptional backup system made this a clock worth five stars. BUT, after about 10 months of use, the minutes digit lost one of its seven lighted segments. When I checked the tiny one-year limited warranty block using a magnifier, I learned that their warranty charges half the original cost of the clock - after you have to pay to return it to them for repair or replacement. So, applying their useless warranty would end up costing the same as just buying a new one.

There are 3 features that set this clock apart from all of the others on Amazon1- It comes with a 5-year backup Lithium battery and the time is set at the factory.2- It was a minute or two off but, unlike most other clocks like this, has separate buttons to adjust hours and minutes so you don't have to go all the way around 24 hours if it's a little fast.3- has an on-off switch on the bottom to enable/disable Daylight Savings Time when you spring ahead and fall back each year.As you can tell we're pretty enthused about this product!

Battery backup never worked on the alarm so it lost time if there was a power outage - time and alarm had to be reset manually. Display segments started failing after 1 year and 6 months. Combination of poor solder joint quality and selection of cheap LED's for the display. I fixed this twice by touching up solder joints (I worked on high reliability electronics for nearly 4 decades and solder daily as part of my own business) but I'm not wasting any more time on this poor quality product.
