Delphi HP10146 Hanger Pump Assembly
This was a perfect fit for my 89 Mustang GT. Gaskets and locking device included. Plug and play wiring. Works great.

Fit was fine, pump is quiet
Used this pump in my Fox Mustang. Fit was fine, pump is quiet , this is a complete assembly - drop it in and plug in the wiring harness. Only been installed for a short time but no issues so far. Seems like a good product, box was stamped made in Mexico if that matters to anyone - would have preferred US made part but its tough finding domestic made pump assemblies. Would choose Delphi over any Airtex, but that's based on my experience.

Its Delphi, an oem brand so it worked like it is supposed to.
Nothing out of the ordinary just works. Expect it to last as long as the factory one since its a factory speced piece of equipment. There are a handful of names that are OEM and this is one, and the reason I chose it.

Manufactured incorrectly - did not fit
1987 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX. The check valve on the fuel pump had failed and the fuel rail quickly lost pressure when the pump was not running. I purchased the entire fuel pump hangar assembly (Delphi HP10146) thinking it would save me time. Upon installation I observed the flange face of the new (Delphi) assembly would not seat against the tank seal. I removed the vapor vent valve from the top of the tank to see what was going on. I could see that the assembly was indeed sitting on the bottom of the tank. Comparing (see photo) the length of the new Delphi unit (on left) vs. the OEM Ford unit (on right), it is too long by 5/16" - 3/8". The filter at the bottom of the hangar assembly must sit very close to, or on, the bottom of the gas tank. From the photo and fitment issue it was clear the Delphi Hangar Pump Assembly was manufactured incorrectly. The gas tank was out of the car. I was pressed for time and needed to get it operational. Returning the Delphi Hangar Assembly and waiting for a replacement was not an option. Plus I had no confidence that a replacement would be any different. The actual fuel pump in the Delphi hangar assembly had the exact same dimensions as the Ford OEM fuel pump. So I swapped the Delphi fuel pump into the original Ford hangar assembly so I could finish the job. I had a short piece of 5/16" fuel line and some small hose clamps available to make connections. In hindsight, I should have just purchased a fuel pump only and swapped it into the Ford OEM hangar assembly. I paid $94.06 for the Delphi hangar assembly and a fuel pump by itself cost much less. Purchasing the Delphi HP10146 assembly cost me more time and money to finish the project. The good news is that the swapped pump worked perfectly. Fuel pressure was maintained on the fuel rail when the engine was off which enabled the engine to start quickly. FYI, the OEM original fuel pump was a Walbro Model #5520, Ford # E5SF9350.

Pump works but too tall for tank
The the whole unit was too tall in comparison to the original pump. I was able to swap the pump into the old fixture. But I would advertise this a fitting a 1988 ford mustang GT. Pump is too tall, and doesn’t fit.
