Wild cocktails is a delightful read. It has nice syrup recipes creative and inspiring cocktail recipes. If you’re looking for inspiration as a mixologist. In this book is for you.

Beautifully written with lots of helpful information about how to make interesting and absolutely delicious-sounding drinks. The writing is easy and breezy and not intimidating for (we) beginners. As a nerdy science-type, I love the details about why things work together, which ones trigger which senses and how they come together to make something delicious. I also appreciate the gardening advice and plan to get some plants going to try some recipes later in the year. Lovely!

Excellent book. I took away one star because most of the ingredients/herbs are not available to me locally in the Caribbean. However as a source of inspiration it is invaluable.

Great book. Provides lots of ideas for refreshing unique cocktails and elixirs using home grown herbs, fruits and vegetables. We made several recipes in this book and everything's been on point. This is also a great coffee table book - visitors are always so intrigued by it.

This book is filled with beautiful photos and easy-to-make recipes that will make you think twice about just pouring a glass of wine for someone when you can serve one of these delightful cocktail treats!

great cocktails but hard to find ingredients and complicated drink recipes. More of a book for a "cocktail" table, lol

great ideas and beautiful presentation. recipes I have tried so far worked well

I first saw this book on sale in White Stuff and was immediately hooked. The cocktails are incredible and foraging is optional although you can mix-and-match and make some things yourself to get in the spirit (unintentional pun!) The three main chapters are: The Cocktail Cabinet (ingredients, basic kitchen equipment, glasses etc); Cocktail Elements (strong, sweet, bitter and acid) and The Recipes. It is a thorough and fascinating mix and there is a very good resources section at the end if your foraging opportunities are limited.The one slight criticism I have, not enough to remove a star, is that I seem to have ended up with the American (from Amazon UK) version that talks about 'yard' instead of garden, the usual 'flavor' instead of flavour and 'whiskey' instead of whisky, although Scotch whisky is spelled correctly with an explanation. As I said, its not worth knocking a star off for me but in a quintessentially British book about a British artisan, it jars slightly. The measurements are in ounces but Metric is in brackets (liters!)The overall look of the book is lovely with that tactile matt-style paper and a beautiful cover and would make a fab gift for a keen cocktail drinker but also a nature lover, or keen gardener and cook.

I’m very pleased with this. I have a lot of creativity and food experience so wasn’t sure it would deliver a set of ideas and recipes worth paying for, but happy to say I’ve been proven wrong! So inspired I’m organising a cocktail party!
