Dorman 603-900 Power Steering Reservoir Compatible with Select Models

Perfect fit! 03 ranger

I purchased this unit for my 2006 Ford Taurus. The fit and finish are superb. I had a leak at the high pressure output. A couple hours work, and perfect results. I didn't even have to pull the pump. The only part that's not included, is the Teflon seal, for the control valve, to high pressure line. Just $ 3.00 from Dorman. Don't forget to put some light grease on the Reservoir mouth, prior to mounting it to the pump body.

Dorman 603-900 Power Steering Reservoir for 2000 Ranger. The unit was impossible to install, due to the supplied large o-ring being too thick. I tried several times and even removed the pump. The o-ring just pushed out of the housing causing a leak. I finally fixed the issue by purchasing an o-ring rebuild kit from O'reilly Auto for $10 and using the o-ring from that kit. The reservoir slid right on and no leaks. The Dorman supplied o-ring was quite a bit thicker than the rebuild kit o-ring. Too thick to allow the reservoir to seal on the pump body.

Fit just like it's supposed to. Fit right up to the old pump. No leaks, didn't use any silicone either.

Feels, fits and looks just like the factory housing. Came with everything needed for a lead-free install and slid right on the pump. Broke mine, by accident, on my 1987 F350 6.9 IDI and this was a great swap, esp for the money.

Was supposed to fit 7.3 power stroke but did not realize there was not a post for the Hydra boost until after it was installed. So ended up using the oring with my original part and threw away the new one away. What a waste on time and money. No it didn't leak but it would have been great if it was the right part.

Stopped the leak, but the power steering pump only lasted a few weeks after I installed it.

The unit came in a timely manner and the installation was fast and easy. When I topped up the fluid and went through the bleed procedure, it worked first time with a little seepage. However, the way to make sure there are no leaks is to run it, then torque it down a quarter turn. Run it again and torque it a final time. No leaks for over a month since installing it. This procedure worked for the new high pressure and return lines to the steering gear! Would happily order again if I need one!

Replaced my power steering pump on my 2004 Mustang 3.9L. Needed a reservoir as the new pump didn’t come with one. This one fit perfectly and even came with extra gaskets. Definitely recommend

Fait venir pour mon ranger annonce disait direct fit pas pu le posé toute de suite du à des pices en attente quand ce fut le temps il fesait pas trop tard pour le retourner.

the description for this item is misleading; it states that it is a COMPLETE assembly including the CAP. Unfortunately, the description is in correct; there was no CAP to be found in the package. Now I have to order the additional parts to complete the working unit.
