These are easy to insert using a fairly large regular screwdriver. They are handy when you need to screw a bolt into a piece of wood. I use them where a carriage bolt going through the wood will not work. I also like the version that you use an Allen wrench to screw them in. I alway keep both types, as well as the push in style, around for building jigs that will be used more then once.

These threaded inserts worked very well for the kitchen table I had built.

The ones I received from Rockler are much much fatter than the ones shown in the picture. I have not tried them yet. They should work well for putting electric bass guitar necks on to bodies. I purchased ones that look like the ones in the picture from Woodcraft.

Works as advertised.

When you need this type of fastener, they are great. A little expensive, but they give you the option of removing them.

The inserts were just fine. Just be sure to get the right insert tool and watch the YouTube videos on getting them installed straight.
