Whiffer Sniffers Tony Pepperoni Scented Backpack Clip

In my work in recreation with elderly dementia patients, I've used this and another "Whiffer Sniffer" as a means of "awakening senses" given that people who suffer from dementia tend to lose their sense of smell. When I've conducted programs using this and the other "Sniffer," I've found that in addition to this particular "Sniffer" having its very powerful and realistic(as possible)scent, its colorful character also provides the opportunity for further "awakening"--e.g. reminiscing. I do suggest that if one wants to maintain the "Sniffer's" smell that it's kept in its package and closed with Scotch tape when not in use. I've found this to be great to use in "sensory stimulation" programs with dementia patients...generally the response varied but for the most part were positive: from their showing awareness of the smell to their expressing that it was [a great idea to have someone who smells like his character.]

Purchased this as a "gag" gift for my son who loves pepperoni pizza. He did get a kick out of it when he opened it up. However neither my son, my daughter nor I thought it smelled like pepperoni pizza; however it does have a distinct oregano smell which is not at all objectionable. I thought he may clip this onto his Jansport Pepperoni Backpack however I believe he plans to use it as an air freshener in his car.

My children absolutely love these things. In fact, I love them as well. Whether or not they are worth the price tag they have, is debatable, but since my children picked them out I decided to go ahead and get them. We actually bought them before Christmas, and it is now six months later and the scents haven't deteriorated at all. I highly recommend if you enjoy novelty items, especially if you enjoy obscure novelty items, like these!

This is cute but the scent is not great.

My grandson is autistic and he loves to smell these on his bus rides to school. He also gets this when he wants Pizza for dinner. It's a good learning tool in teaching him to talk.

I bought it for my son, he loves it and thinks it smells just like pepperoni!

My daughters are convinced this does not smell anything like pizza, but rather something that I won't mention here. It's cute, but they are all very ... put off ... by the scent.

Just what the little guy wanted. And boy does it smell like Pizza!
