These are great to add to soup, salads, or just about anything you can imagine. When a huge kidney bean is too big, these little lentils are perfect. Didn't find any "stones or by-products" when inspecting my bag. Nice new find.

These are a great product! I love using them in various dishes/meals as they taste great and are healthy for me. Plus I am getting a great source of alternative protein! As I have aged I have gravitated away from meat as my main source of protein and I’m glad I found these tasty Hunza ORGANIC Black Beluga Lentils. Best of all they are Organic which is a biggy for me as I am immune compromised.

I found a soup recipe, Beluga Black Lentils and mushrooms, but had never heard of this type lentil. Couldn't find them in the local stores, so ordered from Amazon. Cooked these in an Instant Pot with vegetable broth, thyme sprig, rosemary sprig, minced garlic, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Cooked at high pressure for 6 minutes with a natural release. I used them in the soup, but the lentils were so good, I plan to cook them this way again and use as a side dish.

As soon as the hit heated water/heat they lose their color, not sure what that’s about but it is one reason why I bought them.

I was inspired to eat more lentils by Bryan Johnson's project blueprint. I love the quality of these than that the organi. also I was surprised that they were smaller than lentils I'm used to I actually really like the texture and they cooked a little faster because they're smaller. Creamy and great taste. They hold up well in the fridge.
