THIS IS THE BEST FLASH DRIVE I EVER PURCHASED
3 gb video transferred in like 3 seconds, I was so shocked my jaw dropped. I'm getting it in 500 gb next time.

Great for all purposes
I needed a high capacity usb for the ability to share some large files between myself and a colleague - I have poor internet connection so this was the best option - it came with the bonus of being usb 3.2 gen 2 (silly naming convention) allowing for fast transfer speeds and also allowing me to run the files off the usb as though I was already using them on an internal nvme drive - may consider buying another larger capacity one in the future but this one does the trick

Great little thing
Really nice compact design and transfer speeds are rediculous, definitely worth spending a bit more on this

Blimey! This is one seriously impressive gadget. I’ve had a lot of trouble with USB 3 sticks recently; this seems to have nailed it.Background. I’ve 2 PNY 256GB sticks, now 3 years old, (one for music, one for films) plugged into the stereo and TV respectively, and got around 20-50 MB/s write speed copying multiple files over. They work perfectly/reliable.When I needed a couple of new sticks for general use, for high capacity, PNY seemed the obvious choice for 256GB, and any other ‘known’ brands would do for 128GB and smaller. For reference, USB 2.0 low capacity sticks I had knocking around achieved about 3-4, or 4-7 MB/s, and a Kingston 3.0 ‘Datatraveller G4, 8GB’ managed 7-10 (all tests using the same data, a 2GB sample of hefty music files).A Sandisk Ultra 3.0, 32GB, managed about 25-30, so OK. But a new PNY 256GB (that looked the same as the ones I already had) took ages to get started, then crawled along at minimal speeds (talking sub-USB 2 average here). So PNY have definitely changed something.A Kingston 128GB ‘Datatraveller 100’ just kept stopping and starting – when it went, the speed was a decent ca.50, but your average would never hit that. Other users (of various 3.0 drives) have reported this stopping/starting behaviour, and it’s apparently something due to ‘caches’. So why then do the old PNYs work, and the new 32GB Sandisk?Reformatting exFAT, FAT32, NTFS made no difference. Same behaviour both my PCs (Win 10, Win 7). Changed settings on Win 10 for optimal performance…nothing. Then I got a 128GB Arcanite. Preformatted as FAT32 (supposedly the worst), I got a write speed of 100-120. And my PC is ancient.Hence, the PNY and Kingston are going back. And I might get some more of these Arcanites, maybe try the larger capacity models.I’ve never had a failure with USB sticks (and I’ve got some over 15yrs old) which I put down to the lack of moving parts. So I’ve no reason to doubt the Arcanite there, either.EDIT: For larger volumers of data, say a write of 8Gb plus, I found it slowed down a bit, but it's still faster than the competition.

Fast...Very Fast USB Stick
I bought a second right after using it for a bit, I'm using them on my CDJ's in night clubs and they work a charm. The capacity is good and compatible with mac/windows as should be. I would recommend these to anyone for any purpose.

Very good USB stick
This product has some excellent reviews, so I will only Express where my experience differs.First, I will say that this USB stick is of good, robust quality. I was happy with the storage size, as the size 230GB is about right for a 256GB stick (in fact, considering base-2 read calculations, it should read around 238GB, but I'll let that slide). The USB stick is formatted as default as exFAT. I formatted it using NTFS as I only use Windows. Unable to format using FAT-32, which tells me this USB stick must be pretty new.WRITE SPEED:Writing to the ARCANITE from my PNY microSD card: max 95MB/s, min 8MB/s. Mainly sat around 25MB/s.To transfer 100GB from my PNY MicroSD to the ARCANITE took around 35 minutes. But this of course depended on the 100MB/s write speed of the PNY MicroSD.More importantly, and more relevant for those reading this review, writing to the ARCANITE from my laptop (SSD): max 177MB/s, min 20MB/s. Mainly sat at around 110MB/s.To transfer 100GB from my computer to the ARCANITE took around 10 minutes.READ SPEED:Transferring 10GB data from the ARCANITE to my laptop (SSD): max 360MB/s, min 185MB/s. Mainly sat at around 280MB/s. Total time less than 2 minutes. This would be around the same to delete files from the USB stick.Overall, very happy with the stick. Write speed is very good. It serves as a perfect little backup drive for my files.
