When the Bough Breaks was everything I needed in the next Rose Gardner Investigation book. I laughed so hard through so many scenes. I felt all of Rose's emotions: happy, frustrated, angry, loved, excited, afraid, heartbreak, and pain. This book was such a fantastic exciting and action packed book. I was glad to see more of some of the amazing secondary characters like Bruce Wayne, Witt, and even Mason. Dermot has quickly become one of my favorite characters and hope we see a lot more from him in future books. Miss Mildred's participation in Rose's baby shower is hilarious and you can't miss Officer Ernie's near death experience. I was in stitches!!I have loved Rose since 28 1/2 Wishes. She has grown so much throughout Rose Gardner Mysteries and even more in Investigations. I was so proud of her decisions and the strong independent woman she is now. I am also extremely proud of Joe and his growth since 28 1/2 Wishes. I love Neely Kate and Jed more with each book, too and am eager for their future.The ending of When the Bough Breaks filled my heart with so much love and excitement and fear for the future. I need January to be here.

My head and heart are still feeling the effects of the emotional rollercoaster this story took me on. Denise's faithful readers have been holding their breath in anticipation of this 6th installment in the Rose Gardner Investigation series. This book was SO MUCH more than I ever hoped it would be.Throughout the series, Rose has grown profoundly with each book. This chapter of her life is no different. As she prepares to take on the role of motherhood, Rose knows many changes are coming her way. Still lurking in the background of her worry is the threat of the nefarious Hardshaw group-what are they up to in Fenton County? When her niece and nephew go missing two weeks before her due date, Rose puts everything on hold to investigate their disappearance. Rose has help from all around her and some surprises along the way as she takes up the quest to find Ashley and Mikey.This is a MUST read book. Readers should prepare to have the entire day devoted to reading when they begin, I absolutely could not put this story down and I cannot wait for the next episode in Rose's story.

Man just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did! When the Bough Breaks is filled with crazy excitement.Rose is due to have her baby any day now, but it's clear that she still needs to get all her ducks in a row. While she tries to deal with getting everything ready for the baby's arrival, Rose's niece and nephew go missing.What does a pregnant Rose do? Well, of course, she's going to search for her niece and nephew, even if it means going into labor for it.This book is filled with a lot of twist and surprises . . . some of those twists nearly pulled my heart.I know a lot of dedicated readers are either Team Joe or Team James, right now after reading When the Bough Breaks I'm leaning towards Joe but he hadn't quite pull my heartstring yet. I know he'll be a great father and a great partner to Rose, but I just don't know if I see them getting married and planning a huge future together just yet. As far as James goes: I think he's shown cards and his true color although I wonder if that is just a way to push Rose away. But does he really want to lose Rose? That question lingers in my mind. I have no doubt that he loves her, but at what point will he fold up his cards?Neely Kate is on cloud 9 right now. After all, she's been through plus dealing with her psychotic half-sister Kate. It's time for Neely Kate to have her happy ending.Many speculate that "It All Falls Down" will be the last of Rose's book, but I think the right thing to do for Rose is to flashforward maybe two-three years down to speed up the in-between. Neely Kate and Rose are still wanting to pursue their investigations in a more legal way rather than just two civilians who have a knack for solving things.

Where do I even begin with this one?? From the moment that I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I can’t say what I really want to in this review because it will give so much of it away. Here’s what I can tell you:1) there is action.2) there will be tears.3) there will be Muffy4) there will be shenanigans.If I say more, I’ll give things away.Get this book now!!

The “Rose Gardner Investigations” is my favorite Romantic Suspense / Women Sleuths series. All books are extremely well written, elicit hundreds of emotions, have remarkable plots, and, especially, show outstanding character developments.This sixth installment is no different, but, at the same time, it's well apart from the others.Rose’s niece and nephew are missing, and she sets herself the task to find them although she’s tired, cranked, hormonal, and about to give birth.In her quest, she tries to enlist the help of old friends and exes. Some of them will jump on board, some will turn their backs on her. In the process, she’ll come to a final decision about love.In many ways, this installment is the beginning of the end, as it answers the main conflict: who she will end up with. That will elicit different responses in different readers, but it sure won’t leave you indifferent. At all.

I've just finished when the bough breaks and it was 1000% worth the wait.This books was everything I wanted and more. I laughed, I cried and I loved every single word. If you haven't read the rose books then what are you waiting for. I promise you'll meet characters that feel like family and a story to fall in love with.Thank you so much Denise for yet another amazing book. And now the countdown to 12/01/2021 is on.

Love where the personal plots of all the characters are heading but yet again the entire criminal underworld is run by a load of morons who are actually too stupid to be trusted with guns. And every single altercation gets out of hand because of America's right to bear arms after passing a gun safety test and not an IQ test.And every single altercation in this series over the past twelve books, low light, pointing guns at each other, waiting to see who flinches first, the weak down trodden son or rejected outsider takes first shot to appear to be the hard man OR coz he isn't and flinches and shoots by mistake and it's a bloodbath and the wrong person diesWhat a palava mess.Great reading..... But they need to realise this setup isn't working for them 😜💡Starbucks? A game of Go Fish or Scrabble?Bowling even? Just an idea 😜😅

I absolutely love Rose and her shenanigans however I have had to give this a 4 star review as I found the storyline to be very thin. I am a keyworker so don't have much time to read yet I finished this in 3 hours, not because I couldn't put it down but because I found it to be very short without much substance. I adore the characters and will continue reading as long as Denise keeps on writing them, just a shame that we have to wait so long inbetween releases for it to be over so quickly however I do appreciate the snippets Denise releases to keep us interested. Please make the next one a little longer and meatier as the previous book was a tad too short also and having to wait 9 months for the next release and then 3 hours for the read feels like we've been cheated a little.

When the Bough Breaks was the best real thing happened to me in a while! If I could, I would give it a 10 shiny stars for sure! My mind was blown away with this book and there I were left with my feelings and emotions all over me. And this was so real! I cried so many times, laughed too but cried most of times. It was tears of sadness, relief and happiness. All sorts of emotions!I've been following and living through Rose's journey from the beginning since 28 and a half wishes and now I'm glad to see what a wonderful strong woman she became and she really deserves all the happiness she wished for. Even if it is different to what I envisioned for her and that breaks my heart, I know it is for better! I know some things just are meant to be.Those brilliantly written characters! I love them all and feel them as my best friends!Denise Grover Swank is incredible writer and each book is somehow even better than previous one but this is the Book of books! Yes, I now have my absolute favorite book! I'm going to buy a printed copy to be able to touch it and add to my treasure shelf.I really hope everyone will pick and love this series and this brilliant book as much as I do.

Wow!This has been the most anticipated book of 2020 and for sure the reader won't be disappointed. With twists and turns in the search to find her missing niece and nephew the reader is totally hooked and can't read fast enough. The author Denise has created a world where the characters evolve and move forwards; with that comes life and death, read on to find out if there is such thing as a happily ever after!! You won't be disappointed.
