Convenient way to get high quality hydrolyzed protein
These tablets are useful for me because it helps to increase my protein intake. I have Crohn's Disease, and I cant absorb protein well. These tablets contains hydrolyzed casein protein, and its in "free amino acid" form. This means that it has a high absorption rate. Casein is derived from milk, so if you have a milk allergy, I dont think you could take these. That being said, I dont believe these contain any lactose. I can not eat a lot of dairy and have a very sensitive stomach and I dont have a problem with these. Each tablet contains 1g of protein and all essential amino acids. I take 2 pills with each meal. This gives me 6g of additional high quality protein per day. It may not sound like a lot, but to people who have digestive problems like me, its very good because of the high absorption. Plus, it takes no effort - its quick and easy to pop a couple after meals. These can also be used if you are trying to build muscle or are an athlete, or cant eat too much. I would also think these would be good for a vegan since its a complete protein source.Regarding the pill size, they are 1g tablets, so they are moderately large. I would say they are about the size of an average fish oil capsule. If you cant swallow decently sized pills, this might not be for you, but I dont have a problem with them and they slide down fairly easily with a decent sip of water. If you zoom in on the product picture you can somewhat see the tablets in the bottle. These pills seem to have the highest amount of protein and amino acid content then all the other pills ive compared it to. Its very high quality and I would highly recommend it over other amino acid supplements, namely because of its hydrolyzed protein. These have become a part of my daily medication routine. Amazon is by far the cheapest place to get this stuff, about half the price then other stores.

Can cause Nausea
I thought I did thorough research of this product because I have never tried anything "predigested," but this product caused me so much nausea that I could not believe it. Nothing really bothers my stomach, but for some reason this did. Check with your doctor before purchasing this product and/or check any other medications you may be taking that would cause side affects when used with other products like this.

Showed to have Two Bottles shipping, only had One.
I don't think they ever had the Twin Pack.I've ordered from them before thinking the same, only to have a refund for one later.

Ok product, but still weighing the benefits
I bought this because I used to take this type of protein way back when as a dietary supplement. It has been years and decided to try it again. Not sure if it helps me at all, but I take it with other dietary supplements and if you looking for a weight reduction pill, I really don't think this is it. Does it give me any health values, IMO and in honesty, no.

Affordable alternative to Zylkene for pets?
My vet recommended Zylkene for my 12-year-old chocolate lab's anxiety that has grown as her sight and hearing have diminished. I couldn't find clinical trials, and I was stunned by the price. About $70 for a one-month supply. After reading that Zylkene is a casein formulation, I spoke to my vet about trying LPPs product (my lab gets 1/2 a tablet, which I hope is in the ballpark of the 450 mg Zylkene dose). We've been using the LPP protein for about 3 months, and we see a notable reduction in anxiety and anxiety-related aggression around other dogs, without sedation. The bonus: LPPs casein product costs about 1/50th the price of Zylkene. Are they exactly the same thing? I don't know, but both are made from casein and the doses are as comparable as I can determine (since Zylkene's website doesn't have enough info to be sure). Does the 'generic' casein sold for humans at 1/50th the price seem to be working: Yes.Disclaimers: I'm not a vet, not an MD. I am not providing advice on how you treat your pet. I do not have ownership in LPP or any other pharmaceutical industry.

WHY????
Increasing the price about twofold after absence from the market for almost six months is an impossible pill to swallow....an unintentional bad pun.

Wonderful
I couldn't get my hair to grow. I thought it was breaking off as fast as it was growing. I was discouraged. Then a friend suggested I might not be getting enough protein. I checked at Amazon and tried this product. Not only is my hair thicker and healther but my nails are stronger and I feel better. Great product.
