Good concept, a pain to install, one broke within a half hour
I bought these for my agility hounds to have in their large guest crates while they waited their turns between runs. Both hounds are well-behaved, not destructive, and ready to nap after each run. Until today, they were using standard collapsible bowls, but the idea of mounting them higher appealed to me.Between her first and second runs, I noticed that my girl’s bowl was on the bottom of the crate partially collapsed, and her hair was wet on one side. When I opened her crate, it appeared that she had bumped the bowl, breaking the thin plastic support under the bowl lip. The boy’s bowl was still mounted in the other crate.Even though one of the bowls survived the entire hour, I’m not going to use the other. It’s a real pain to take the mounting knob off and align the nut and the bowl to fixate it to the crate bars. Also, it’s imperative in this heat that the water is available. We’ll be going back to the standard collapsible bowls. It didn’t dawn on me to send the pieces back for a refund. I was annoyed that I had to water my dog out of a handheld plastic bag, and I didn’t take the time to rescue with the pieces from the trash bin.

TNR Kitty Recooperation!
We often Trap, Neuter and Release local ferral kitties. After they have been fixed we will hold them a few days to make sure all is healing - no open incisions or infection. Often these kitties, as much as we love them are basically wild - so keeping them contained is not something they are fond of. They are often scared, angry and freaked out. Some well try to "hide" others can be downright agressive. While we have them in a 24*36 wire dog kennel/crate - we provide food, water and clean litter - and try to keep them calm. That means minimal interaction without the scarry humans. While there is not a great way to handle the litter issue - we found using these dishes (and a funnel) allow us to add food & water without opening the cage which is frightening to then and can cause us the risk of having one of them escape into our basement (which had happened...).These cups are not huge - you can adjust the depth of them - which is nice - we usually keep the water cup shallow so we can add fresh more often - and we keep the food cup deep and fill of kibble. They can be a bit tricky to get attached to different kennels or crates - it depends on the size of the openings - sometimes you can squish then a bit (yea for flexible silicone) and put them through without unscrewing the clamp all the way. If you do have to unscrew the clamp - be mindful that the nut that screws through can and will fall out - just be ready to catch it.Overall they solved an issue for us - they were fairly priced, it was great to get two - we love the ability to choose how deep they are - which is not something you can do with the stainless steel bowls.Being able to mount them as high or low in the cage is another advantage over bowls that sit on the floor - no chance of spills!Give them a chance - we are happy with our purchase and so are the kitties - even if they hate us for a few days - they are well fed and watered while they are recooperating.... If you can help out with local TNR in your area - please do - if you don't have a kitty - please consider adoption - if you do have a kitty - please get it fixed and keep it inside! If you know there are ferrals in your area - it's a very tough and scarry life - help get them fixed to slow the population - then help provide food and shelter if you can. There are a lot of horrible cruel people out there - they need caregivers and advocates - they will be proof that you can love what you can't touch and your home and yard will not have a rodent problem! Winters are awful - it's easy to create shelter - straw is cheap - and so is kibble.... Give them a name and look out for them - you'll be doing a good thing!

Good food dish
Easy to attach to crate. Not great for water because you need to take it off to dump water to clean it. I use just for food and works great. You can adjust the amount of food it will hold

Easy to use, convenient!
I liked these so mich I bought another set! I was frequently staying at two locations (for work) and my dog had a crate at each place. Very easy to attach and collapse when I had to travel with one of the crates.
