Festool491582 FS Guide Rail Limit Stop, 1 Piece

Don't carry sheets, carry pieces! No more juggling 4'x8' sheets ripping on tiny table saws! No more trying to cut fuzzy-ass chalk lines! I am a 30 year professional carpenter. My biggest regret is I didn't shell out the HIDEOUS two-fisted amounts of cash for this combo earlier. Saw, track, components; all Must-have's. Cute little plastic boxes are actually useful too. Fast easy set-up, compound cuts, cabinet-grade perfect cuts, but, Hitler's Revenge, everything is Metric. Went with 2 - 55" and 1 - 42" tracks to combine for 8' to 10' rips or cross-cut 3' door bottoms. Pay attention: you need to buy 2 clamps and 2 or 4 or 6 connectors (sold individually). Ouch. Stupifyingly expensive. Accessories will rob you blind. Can NOT compare with other manufacturer's track system as I've not only not used them, I've never seen them on a jobsite. Time might change that, but I've DECADES using all Festool's saws and blade combinations and the quality of cut from other saws are not even close to Festool's. Do yourself a favor and make protective sheath/scabbards for your tracks for 'back o' the truck' carry. Also, can combine track with other Festool tools. I bought their router as well for fast, straight, repeatable dadoes and edging. Buy once, cry once, maybe cry twice. Geez they're expensive..

inquired too soon, have not used item , and have not got guide rails yet , festools are nice ,but expensive !!

5 stars for the product less 2 for the awfully high price. The product performs exactly as it is supposed to perform and, if used properly, will also last as a quality item is supposed to last, but is it worth the price?The answer is in another question - how badly do you need it? and if you own Festool saw and guides you know this is necessary and so there is where you are captured - you have no choice, you have to buy it, which leaves a bitter taste when you consider the price is a little excessive.

Works as intended - decently made - a bit overpriced (like many Festool items) for what it is - one comes with the saw - nice to have (buy) a second one to limit start and stop positions along the rail

Expensive, as all Festool products are, but worth it. Very well made and does the job precisely.

First I just would like to mention that I am not a FesFool and do not believe that great tools make a great carpenter, I have tried other festool tools and was not that impressed , however this saw is worth more than its cost I am very happy with it .

At the end of rail plunge saw can be loose from the rail. To prevent, you need this.

My Festool plunge saw kit came with one of these, designed to sit at the back and lock the saw down onto the track when plunging, to avoid kick back. If you get a second one you can use it as a stop at the front end of the cut when plunging in and out within a longer board. There are registration marks on the saw's casing to line up to where you want the plunge cut to start and stop. Works perfectly. Well, it would, it's Festool. And it's expensive, well it would be, it's Festool.Five stars for functionality and build quality, marked down to four for price.

This is a must have item if you gonna do lots of plunge cuts on your track saw. It relieves the risk for kickbacks. I’ve actually bought 2 , I use one for kickbacks stop and one in front to stop the saw to the desire cut stop for repetitive plunge saw cuts.
