Pure Maple Sugar - 8 0z - A&A Maple

12 20212 2022 just rec'd my 2nd bag! EXCELLENT!First use of maple sugar.i sprinkled some over a new cookie to me - walnut cookies. These were bland, but, theaddition of the maple sugar really brightened these cookies up.WILL be using this sugar a lOT more!

I use a lot of natural, fairly unprocessed sweeteners in my recipes, but mainly coconut sugar, maple syrup and honey . I had never heard of maple sugar, though. This was an ingredient a recipe called for and although I could have probably gotten away with a substitute, I really wanted to try something new.The flavor of the A&A maple sugar is mild and delicate. It doesn't have the strong, "browned" taste of coconut sugar, nor does it have the texture of coconut sugar. It tastes just like pure maple syrup, but is less distinctive than the syrup (not the fake, processed, butterworth-style crap at the supermarkets - REAL maple syrup). It seems like it has the texture of regular sugar (It's been awhile since I have used beet or cane sugar so I can't do a side by side comparison). Some coconut sugars can be a bit moist, but this is dry like regular sugar.It's pretty pricey, so it will not become a staple in my cooking and baking. But, if I want to change up the flavor profile of a dish, I will enjoy using this from time to time. When I want maple sugar flavoring to be less intense and more subtle, it will be perfect to use.

This product is great. BUT for those who need a fruit-free sweetener, this is not it. It tastes lovely, for those who need a granulated, refined-sugar-free option! So it's Paleo and works well for baking purposes that do not work well for liquid sweeteners, such as crumbles and cobblers (the topping). But I am very sensitive to fruit, which is why I use maple syrup often. This sweetener must be contaminated with fruit during a step in its processing. I react to it just as I react when I eat fruit. I can safely use maple syrup without this reaction. (I will still use this product for my kids, who can eat fruit without issue; but for me it's no better than coconut sugar.)

Maple sugar adds so much to fruit, oatmeal, or most foods in which you top with sugar. The best is fresh stawberries, dipped in sour cream and then dipped in maple sugar.

I can only imagine the process you use to bring us this wonderful maple sugar!This is NOT like brown sugar... It is above that... simply superior.The smell reminds me of a caramel corn shop we have in town- it smells wonderful and warm.It is finely milled and I could eat it all day long if I did not know better! I like to put this maple sugar on open peanut butter sandwiches and always on my oatmeal. I have not tried making into syrup, but I will definitely be trying that in the future.EXCELLENT Maple Sugar A A!!!!

Excellent maple syrup sugar and all around a great product. Maple sugar is extremely shelf stable and is full of minerals that are great for your body. Item came in a good quality ziplock bag that was resealable to keep the sugar fresh. Maple sugar can also be rehydrated by adding water to bring it back to its natural liquid state, which makes this a fantastic item to purchase for camping, traveling or if you are working on prepping for an emergency situation. Tastes great in tea, or add to oatmeal to make maple and brown sugar oatmeal without having it turn into oatmeal soup. Maple sugar can also be used as a 1:1 sugar substitute, making this an excellent product for those who are seeking natural alternatives to conventional sugar.

Not as flavorful as I thought but will,do perfectly in the recipe I bought it for.
