Be aware - these are full of sugar
Unfortunately I did not check nutrition values before buying - and they are pretty high in sugar. But if you are not watching for that - they are pretty darn good. ;)

Sparkling vs. Nitro... not a winner!
While I love nitro coffee... and typically everything that I've tried from this brand... Sparkling Cold Brew is a huge miss! I combines the weird taste of soda water & your beloved coffee, for an awful concoction I couldn't salvage for anything, and I tried a lot of options!

Pretty much undrinkable
I love coffee, and I love soda. So this seemed like it might be a natural for me. I was very eager to try it.Well, I am sad to report the stuff is pretty much undrinkable. It's one of the worst tasting drinks I've ever had. I had my husband and both my sons also try it, just to make sure it wasn't just me, and all of them felt exactly like I did.The main first taste impression you get is bitterness---not the nice coffee kind of bitterness but medicine type bitterness, like you are drinking something you just shouldn't drink. Then, as you swallow, the taste left in your mouth is a sour one---again, not the nice kind of sourness like sour candy or sour cream, but the sourness of food that has gone bad. There is little to no coffee flavor in this at all. There's also very little carbonation. It doesn't really seem like soda, so I didn't even get the treat of drinking soda from it.I think this is a well meaning product. It has simple ingredients, and it's hard to say just what makes it taste so awful. It's mostly just cold brewed coffee and cane sugar. Perhaps it's the proportions, or the type of coffee used, or whatever the natural flavors are that are added. Whatever it is, this is just not something I'd ever buy or drink again.

This is the stuff!
Edit 2/6/19: So, I have another flat of canned coffee beverages that are too sweet for me. I just got the brilliant idea of pouring them together into one glass. Now I have an iced coffee beverage that I like!Edit 1/26/19: I find it too bitter to drink and enjoy as much as I thought I would. I'll finish what I've got, but don't know if I will get this beverage again. Just comin' clean here.Somewhere around ten years ago Starbucks brought a lightly sweetened tall skinny can of iced coffee to market and I loved it. This beverage fueled me as I single-handedly build a retaining wall in front of my house. Then they discontinued it, and for a while this kind of product was gone. Now, several companies are bringing lightly sweetened iced coffee beverages to market, and I try to try them when I see a new one. This is great stuff, and it is lightly carbonated too. I wish it had a little less bitter bite, but this is best consumed ice cold. How productive will I be drinking this stuff? Time will tell, but I can't wait.

Wow - surprisingly awful taste
Well this was not what I expected at all. I love all sorts of coffee whether it's hot, iced, blended, cold brew, even straight shots of espresso. I also love all things carbonated, and have even tried (and love) the Frizz brand of carbonated coffee. That being said, I figured this High Brew Sparkling Cold Brew was right up my alley. I was wrong....very very wrong.I took my first drink and was immediately taken back by the distinct sourness of this product. It was nothing like what I expected. The coffee taste definitely wasn't the most pronounced flavor in this concoction. I stood there confused about what I had just tasted...so I decided to study the label and see if I could make sense of it. It has 80 calories - pretty significant for "black" coffee...and it also has a whopping 15grams of suger. With that much sugar, I'd expect something a lot more delicious to my taste buds than this was! I didn't want to give up that easily though, so I poured it over ice and added a significant amount of my mocha flavored creamer.....althought this made it bearable, that sour taste was still overwhelmingly noticeable. My husband didn't believe me and had to try one for himself - he admits that he regrets that decision.I'm sure there are people out there somewhere who will enjoy this concoction made by High Brew, but I am not one of them.

A little bitter for cold brew, the carbonation is just...unusual.
I make my old cold brew, usually from dark roast, and always over 24 hours - at least three times a week. So I have a good idea what it tastes like.First of all, this is 80 calories. Why? A LOT of sugar. If it's this bitter with 25 grams of sugar, I can't imagine it without the sugar - almost 4 sugar cubes worth. My guess is that it's Robusta coffee and not Arabica. The carbonation? If you like everything fizzy, it's for you. I thought I'd like it - I don't. Combined with the bitterness, it's not for me. I'd compare the taste to McDonald's black coffee. So if you mike McD, you'll probably like this as well.

Interesting Flavor in a Good Way!
The High Brew Sparkling Cold Brew Coffee is certainly an acquired taste. That being said, I don't find it bad at all, just different. The flavor is classic black. It's very lightly sweetened and best served cold. I have had this straight out of the can and also mixed up with ice and my favorite creamer. Both ways vastly different but acceptable in taste. The biggest and noticeable thing about this brew is the carbonation. The carbonation gives it a bit of bitter sharp taste than can be off-set if you wish to do so. Where as my husband wasn't a huge fan the first time having it he liked it the second. I an avid and quite obsessive one with coffee in all shapes and forms tended to like how different it is from my first sip.The convenience of this drink is nice for travel. It features an easy to open pop can like top. I like how just one can contains twice the caffeine so I don;t have to drink more than one to get that energy buzz.I am happy this brew doesn't give me heartburn or cause acid reflux problems. If you like this sort of brew, go for it. If you are unsure if you'll like, maybe get just 1 can to try it out. I like it and I'll be back!
