Worth every penny. This book is a treasure trove of information, wether your just starting out on your embroidery journey, or you have been doing it most of your life, this book is a must have. It is put together very well, thick pages with a stitched binding and in the back of the book is a pocket with full size patterns for the inclulded projects in the book. I can't wait to make several of the projects in tihs book. I can't even begin to describe how well written this book is. The flowers in tihs book are true to life, they look just like they should. This book is great for beginners (good explanation of projects and techniques), intermediate( ways to use elements in other ways to enhance existing projects), advanced ( ways to combine elements in original designs). It is not just a reference, but a useful tool.

By far the most useful embroidery book I've found to date. If you are looking for easy to follow instructions for embroidering English style country gardens, look no further. The author provides useful patterns, stitching instructions and many inspiring photos. Once you understand the basic elements, your design options can be limitless.

This book is excellent. Beautiful in appearance making it enjoyable to use. And there are actual ideas and instructions for embroidery projects. And when I first glanced at it I thought that I. Could never embroider that beautifully. But after looking at the techniques presented I now know I can with practice. I would not call this a beginners book. It’s more confident beginner with some experience to intermediate level. I highly recommend the book.

I liked the variety of different projects ideas and project designs. I also like all the directions of how to do the veritey of embroidery stitches, and complete the shown projects. It also includes all the materials you may need to do embroidery in general and copy patterns onto fabrics. There is some direction for finishing your projects, but I could use a little more step-by step instruction for that, as a beginner.

I love everything about this book - explains everything in detail from hoop or frame to use, floss or thread, needles, etc. I just can't imagine anyone not liking this book.
