Newdigi Transformer USB Flash Memory Drive 8GB

This has been my only bad experience on Amazon so far. I hope it's my last.Bought this from the Company leovem. Ordered Dec 19th. Within 12 hours (before shipment) I contacted the company and asked to cancel the order -- I needed it before Christmas and they gave me a delivery date of MID JANUARY to early FEBRUARY. They closed my request to cancel and stated that they promised I would have it in 6 to 9 days. They immediately tacked on a bogus tracking number that never worked/was an invalid tracking number.They didn't even ship until 12 days AFTER they closed my request. Shipped from China. It took 22 days to get to me - received January 10th.I order the 8GB. The first time I put it in my computer is said it has 4.1GB available. Whaaaat?! The second time I put it in - it didn't register at ALL. My computer stated that it couldn't find the darn thing.So I take it to work to show both of my computer geek Bosses. They put it in FIVE MORE computers. Every computer they put it in said it was not recognized. Total scam...(I believe my Bosses words were "You got screwed").Well rats...The only saving grace is Amazon. I filed my first ever A-Z claim (I hate those) and Amazon immediately took care of me. Offered me the option of an Amazon gift card in the full amount I paid for the product plus the original shipping costs. Rather than send the thing all the way back to China (right - like that's ever gonna happen - and they KNOW it isn't gonna happen), they gave me a gift card. Excellent - now I don't have to deal with the crappy and dishonest company leovem.I am surprised Amazon allows a company that bad to sell of their site. Their feedback is horrid. They have more negs than positives! I'm beginning to think that leovem is attempting to sell knockoffs of this product. Not the actual manufacturer - but a "close" rendition of the product. There is no shortage of USB flash drives and they are available with many different capacities. While 8 GB is not a significant amount of storage by today's standards. it is more than adequate when you consider that a double layer DVD disc stores an equal amount. Buy this one because it is a bit of fun, especially if younger folks are using it. Consider using it for "G" rated photos of family and pets which will distinguish it from more boring adult items such as your Last Will & Testament or years of bank statements. Perhaps the greatest reason to buy this item is the seller. I have never encountered a more friendly and helpful individual in all of my purchases from any source and that is a HUGE compliment. So i bought this usb because i love transformers! I liked it! It is working fine! One leg is a little loose but you can tighten it i guess since there are little screws that hold it, i just dont have a small screw driver for now to try. The only drawback i believe is that it is quite big for a usb(i was expecting a miniature so i could carry with me) so i just keep it as an exhibit on my desk for its unusual design! Also in the picture it seems to be grey- black with a purple symbol of transformers on it. In reality it is black with blue and it looks a little more fake than the one in the picture but it is still nice.

I have had the drive for less than a month. (took about 2-3 weeks to arrive.)Drive was extremely slow from the start. I transferred about 3GB of data to the drive.Played music from the drive for approximately 20 hours, and then the drive stopped being picked up by my laptop.Drive will not pick up from my work laptop, personal laptop, car stereo, or home desktop.This was really cheaply made and I wasn't to surprised that it didn't last that long.If you want a transformer to sit on your desk at work this is you, just don't expect to have a working flash drive for long.

Loose jaw...tried to tighten the screw at the bottom, but it seems like it has nothing to do with the tightness of the jaw. It's Alt mode is pretty flimsy considering that nothing tabs in together. And why is the Decepticon symbol blue?

Not the highest quality transformer, but for the price, what did you expect? Cute little usb and my stepson loved it. Other reviewers have said this was a scam but I bought the 8 GB version and I've been informed that it works.

Good for the price but is very delicate. My first one broke when I was trying to transform it. It doesn't come with any sort of instructions to transform it.

Took a long time to receive. The USB is pretty weak and is tough to actually insert the USB port of my laptop. The USB on the side of my tv will be difficult too; especially since the unit is so HUGE! Not practical .. Sorry folks. Broke my heart too! I purchased 2 ! :(
