Overall, I've really liked the Nautical cases from Ghostek in the past. I've gotten them for my past three phones and loved them much more than LifeProof cases. However, this case has been very frustrating. The case has not been nearly as waterproof as the ones I've gotten in the past. Also even after following the instructions on how to make the fingerprint scanner work, it only works maybe half the time. The worst offender is the slot for the camera. One of the main reasons I bought an s10plus was for the camera. However, the window for the camera is too small and cuts off the wide angle lens so it is completely unusable. I'm really disappointed. Ghostek needs to have a new revision that fixes this problem. I've attached an example of what a picture with that lens looks like.

This case seems like it will fit the bill if your looking for a good case for not alot of mony, like i was looking for, i was going to get a life proof case for my phone but than started cheacking amazon and noticed thar there where waterproof cases on amazon as well and that they cost much less. now that does not mean that i was gonig to buy the cheepest one i could find i always look at reveiws and rateings. so heres my opinion on this case it seems like it will be a good case heres the pros i have found 1 The caps that close the head phone jack seem to be good quality and that they will be water proof 2 it comes with cleaning cloths to get your phone ready for the case (would be nice if they where reuseable tho). 3 it comes with a small lanyard that you can wrap around your wrist so that when your multi tasking you will lest likelly will drop your phone 4 i have already droped my phone and it is just fine. now the cons 1 the 3rd camra is blocked by part of the case so wide shot photos dont work with that lens.over all this is a very nice case for the price but it could be improved and yes i would recommend is as long as the person doesent mind that 3rd lens being coverd. please note i will also update this post after using it longer

Pros.1. Case is actually water tight when not charging or being used with aux cable, with good " access port and aux port covers that stay shut.2. Very drop resistant.3. Good touch screen sensitivity.4. 1/4 the price of a Lifeproof brand.5. wireless charging still works with the case on.Cons1. The case interferes with microphone. Google misunderstands me, I have to yell at the phone for people to hear me. Other people complain of garbled speech until I take the cover off. I use Bluetooth devices to be understood.2. Not waterproof when aux jack is plugged in.3. The case can installed backwards, leading to SS RDX command execution, which is very scary.

I waited a quite a while to write this review. The phone went through many drops and survived. Something the revered Otterbox Defender couldn't do. The screen cracked with that on the first drop. However, since the facial recognition on this phone is iffy at best and the fingerprint reader worked great until I switched to this case, it's really annoying not to have it. It doesn't work AT ALL. In fact, the it's not lined up correctly. Not even close. So no matter how hard you press, you're not going to get it to work. Other than that, the case is great. Waterproof test worked great. I'm not worried at all if the phone gets wet and I've had to use it for work out in the pouring rain and it's protected. They need to fix the alignment of the fingerprint reader.

I've bought a few of these. As far as phone protection is awesome!The thumb reader is lacking. They come with these stickers to protect the thumb reader. You put them on and they're sticky AF! If you can clean the sticky off it won't read your thumb. So the best bet is replacing the case after a few months once the finger print reader is too scratched up. I'm on case three I think. I've tried calling and emailing the company but no replies. Going back to Lifeproof next time.

I've used Ghostek Nautical cases in the past and have loved them. This case for the Galaxy S10 plus is almost as good as my s8 plus case.Overall, the case is pretty wonderful. If you are looking for a waterproof case where the fingerprint scanner actually works, buy this one. I've tried other brands over the past year and have not had any luck. I figured I just wouldn't be able to use my fingerprint scanner anymore. The only cases I buy anymore are the waterproof, dust proof, everything proof because of a little toddler that likes to sneak off with our phones.As long as you follow the instructions, you should have no problem with getting your fingerprint scanner to work. The case was run through the waterproofing test they reccomend and worked flawlessly. The case itself was easy and straightforward to install, no issues at all.My major reason for docking one star is because of the wide angle photos. As others have mentioned, the case does seem to cut in a little close for the wide angle lens. The edges were blurred a little bit. Since I do not use the wide angle lens very often, it is not a dealbreaker for me. I would much rather have the ability to use my fingerprint scanner than the wide angle lens. If you are an avid camera user that frequents the wide angle, this is probably not the case for you.Another slight concern, which is really a non-issue - I would love to see more color options and design patterns. Why are all of the waterproof cases dull and so similar in design? Give me some pattern options on the back or the rubber sides. Just because the phones are well protected doesn't mean there cant have more fun designs!Overall, a great product and I would highly recommend if you have been searching for a waterproof case with the ability to use the fingerprint scanner!
