These were better quality than the ones they were replacing. Perfect to upgrade grandkids swing set. High quality and correct size simple to install. No squeaking or noise while in use. These easily handle the weight of our oldest granddaughter.

Got these to repair a swing and worked great. Smooth operation and quiet.

I downgraded this to 4 stars because the bolt portion of the bracket is less than 6 inches long. I put it through a set of sistered 2x6 beams so I was only drilling through 5.5" of wood. I could just barely get it through enough to start the threads of the nut. I could then tighten the nut in order to pull the triangle portion into the beam. This is the only way to get it on far enough to engage the nylon ring on the lock nut.But, it does work. I did not have to bury it so deep in the board that the bushing portion rubs.Pros: - It comes with a nylon lock nut and a washer.Cons: - The washer isn't very big. I bought some fender washers to use since I'm feeding mine between 2 2x6 beams. I didn't want the washer to work its way down into the joint. - The nylon bushing is already squeaking (about 20 minutes after installing them)I will try putting some silicone on them the next time I have the ladder out so that should stop the squeaking hopefully.Also - be advised that the bottom loop is completely closed. You will need some sort of S-hook or carabiner to hook the chain onto the bracket. I used carabiners. (on the up side - there is no way this can fall off)All said, its still a good deal.

This is a great hanger for a swing, but in order to connect a swing you would need to use an S hook or a threaded link, or pry open the bottom of the closed S hook.

And 1 of the 6 I bought finally wore down this summer. So I'm buying a replacement pair.Eventually the nylon bushing wore down, and it caused it not to turn properly any longer and instead just rubbed until it was metal on metal. I didn't notice, but apparently the kids spent the whole summer swinging away on it and didn't tell me it was bumping and making noise.Seeing as it is 11 years old, and my kids are much heavier than they were 11 years ago, (my 15 yr old still regularly swings and listens to music when she wants to be alone) I don't think they did too badly. And even though we have 3 swings, they almost always used this particular one so it had much more use than maybe is typical.For historical sake, I'll add that I only paid $8.50 a pair in the original order and now they've more than doubled in price, but I guess so have most things....

Needed this to add a swing to our wooden swing set. Originally received the wrong size, but returned and got this one. Perfect size, sturdy, easy to install per husband.
