My honest review after 4 years of owning this alarm.
Honest review: I have the previous version with the rechargeable battery bought in May 2021. That being said, I think all of the features and quality will be the same. This alarm system absolutely works as described. My house is in the woods, so I wanted to know when someone approaches. My driveway is 800 ft long, however the sensor is located on the front of my detached garage nearer to my home about 150ft - 200ft from the alarm. In the almost 4 years of owning it, I have charged the sensor maybe 4 times. I estimate that the alarm is triggered around 10 - 12 times a day. I keep the alarm in my home plugged in so I cannot speak on battery life with that. The alarm in the house has options that I have never explored as I only use it as it came programmed i.e. various tones and zones, I think for multiple sensors.Pros:1. The sensor has withstood our New Hampshire weather, freezing cold, snow, and freezing rain without breaking.2. Battery life is very good with charge lasting well over 6 months (cannot speak to replaceable batteries).3. The adjustable alarm is loud enough to hear throughout the house.4. Never an issue with quality.Cons:I do not have any cons to list but here are some things I've dealt with primarily due to my placement of the sensor.1. Wildlife will trigger it as should be expected, birds, rabbits, squirrels, and once a pair of coyotes passing through in the middle of the night.2. Falling leaves in the fall triggers it.Tips:1. Don't place the sensor where you do a lot of activity like I did. I don't typically work out of my garage but on the occasion that I do, the alarm will continue to chime every time I enter or exit the door (drives my wife and dogs nuts). She simple unplugs the alarm until I am done.2. The alarm will chime if you place the sensor where delivery trucks i.e. UPS and Fedex need to turn around. My driveway requires them to do multiple point turns and it happens to be right in front of the sensor.I will probably be moving the sensor down the driveway a bit to avoid these unnecessary chimes. All in all, this alarm does everything it says it will do. It alerts you when triggered and quality has never been an issue. When the time comes and I need to replace it, I will not hesitate to stick with this system.

HOSMART The Best for me
as I write this review, my guard line motion sensor is sounding off almost continuously, because we have a breeze that is strong enough to cause the limbs on the nearby trees to move. My Hosmart driveway alarm sensor that I have near the beginning of the driveway is making no sound whatsoever. The reason is that it is not affected by the wind and the moving tree limbs. The reason is because it’s a heat sensor and not a motion sensor."A person walking down my driveway 40 feet from the sensor will produce enough heat to cause the alarm to go off, a car driving down the driveway with normal heat on the engine will cause the alarm to go off, I have another HOSMART arriving from Amazon today I'm Going to replace the guard line

Nice upgrade from older version, but...
This updated version has a lot more alert sound options. Just wish it was compatible with the older version sensors. I've had to buy a whole new system just because I needed the home base..

Works great for me!
It took a lot of work to get the sensor aim just right because I live on a busy corner. But now it works wonderfully. I love that I know when someone is here and I don't have to stand at the door and look out. It does catch birds that fly right in front of it. But it doesn't happen that much. It will be interesting in winter when snow falls. I'm imagining it will change the aim and I will have to play it all over again. I really like it. I am very pleased with it. My friends are very impressed with it. I never hear the lie from people how they sat in my driveway waiting for me for 10 minutes. They can't do that. I know when they pull up now. I am so happy.

not happy NEW UPDATE
We have been trying to make this work for 9 months. The first problem was a wet snow loaded a few conifer boughs and it blocked the signal. Moved it to a line-of- sight location and it worked somewhat. Somewhat means it picks up every animal that passes by but apparently a toyota corolla is too stealth to detect. Moved it many times, orientated it different ways and heights and no better. It picks up truck deliveries and animals, but cars are hit or miss. Then it stopped detecting altogether. Thought it was batteries but found out it was full of moisture. We dried it out, put fresh batteries in and I sealed it with some liquid seal that was on my bench (see pic). It went back to its normal sporadic operation and then it stopped again about a month later. Even with sealed joints it still filled up with moisture...must've infiltrated around the lens? So I just disassembled it again, dried it out and wrapped it with tape to try again. I don't expect much better. There is a nice groove and spline gasket but it seems like they stretched the spline and it that made the diameter too thin. The older version looks to to have a separate shield over it, but not this one. If that was omitted to cut costs it was a mistake. I was looking forward to adding three more sensors but I won't be doing that considering the problems we have had. I haven't complained to the manufacturer because I'm guessing a replacement would have the same issues...good luckUPDATE: The seller did try to contact us but we missed the email somehow. I responded late and never heard back. After nearly giving up on it I took it apart in frustration once again and the negative lead going to the battery box popped off. It is a very small gauge hair-like conductor. I soldered it back on and suddenly it works about 95% of the time...for awhile now. I'm thinking it was intermittent or maybe not supplying enough juice? I was tempted to increase my rating by a few stars but this should have never happened. If I add another transmitter I will update as needed : )
