High quality and perfect fit.

Fits 2002 Subaru Outback Limited w/ 2.5L SOHC EJ251/253 engine
This is a perfect fit LOWER radiator hose for a 2002 Outback Limited (mine is the 4-door sedan, it is the same for 4cyl outback wagons) with the 2.5L naturally aspirated motor. I installed this (with MANY other parts) during a total engine tear down and rebuild, but it can be easily done without taking anything apart on the motor. If you are unfamiliar with this job, YouTube has many helpful videos that can guide you through this basic DIY job. Installation was simple once the front splash guard was removed (Retained by two 10mm bolts in the rear, one Philips screw on either side in each wheel well, and a row of 10mm bolts along the front). The old hose often has to be carefully cut for removal to prevent breaking the plastic fittings on the motor and radiator. I highly recommend replacing the upper radiator hose at the same time if it has not already been replaced. If the car has the original hoses, new quality clamps should be purchased as well, since the factory clamps often rust and break during removal. This is a good time to replace your old thermostat and thermostat O-ring as well. Don’t forget to drain the coolant BEFORE attempting to remove the hoses. If you are replacing the old coolant, be sure to use Blue Subaru coolant (available at a Subaru dealership) or an equivalent-rated blue coolant as made by manufacturers such as “Zerex” (available at many auto part stores), for best performance.

Great product, great price and perfect fit.
I was a little surprised (upset?) when I opened the box and it did not match the radiator hose that was on my Subaru currently. I crawled underneath and dry-fitted it before install. It fits perfectly! The mechanic who installed the last hose apparently used whatever one he found lying around. I couldn't be more happy.
