Broken Dreams

After finishing Broken ... I dove right into this one. Since i fell in love with Courtney and Reed in Broken I couldn't wait to read their story, and let me tell you Kelly did not disappoint.Courtney and Reed met of course in book one "Broken" and their initial reaction to each other was not exactly a good one. These two immediately had a thing for each other but fought it HARD! Courtney and Reed were both scared initially of their feelings for one another, so while it might have seemed like everything happened fast in this book, those who read Broken know that it took these two a while to get together. With Whitley and Layton, their best friends falling in love and spending so much time together there was now way for Courtney and Reed to completely avoid each other. These two fought constantly in the first book, feelings were hurt, words were said in anger, walls were built to avoid hurt and pain. Courtney and Reed both engaged in other relationships, attempted to move away from one another and move on ... mission failed ... the heart wants what the heart wants.Courtney Will, dreams of finding her prince charming, she has since she was a young girl. She always dreamed of being swept off her feet and that no holds barred kind of love. But when she was a young teen just sixteen years old her dreams were shattered, and her heart broken. 5 AMAZING STARS !!!!Kelly Elliott has girls swooning all over the world after this book , each time , each book , both series these guys work harder and love better !!I knew Reed and Courtney's story was going to be fun and sexy and of course filled with super hot sex and love , but I really did not know how much emotion would be involved and how their past issues were going to play a role in this. Again in true Kelly fashion as much as you get from Reed and Courtney you still get enough of Layton and Whit to feel that connection as a group which I love.I knew in Broken that Courtney was the kind of best friend you want to have in life , funny as hell , outspoken , protective and just absolutely faithful and loving , though slightly closed off to guys and love she seems to handle herself well. Courtney finally breaks in this book and we get to see her inner turmoil and begin to understand why she is the way she is. It is nice to see her open up and come to terms with the things life has handed her. I was overcome with emotion as her issues were brought to a head and she had to face them. Thankfully she had a very supportive family and man to help her through that. It is a very real situation and I feel was handled in the story beautifully. There always has to be some kind of crazy in a story and Noah really wins the prize in this !!I loved Reed's character in Broken , he made me mad a few times but now knowing his past I understand him and he has totally redeemed himself in more ways than one. The funny , sexually frustrating banter between him and Courtney is so real you can't help but route for them to give in and wait impatiently for it to happen !! There is no doubt in his actions that he is in love and in it forever. He has no problem showing his feelings and acting on them.I love how the story comes full circle. People being ripped apart and then coming together to welcome new life into the circle. I love the bits and pieces we get of Layton and Whit's experience with pregnancy and birth. I have to say the letters were such a great part of the story not only visually but emotionally. Of course I love the sneak peek we get into Kelly's next creations , regardless of how her stories end she always gives you just enough of what is coming next to keep you crazy with want !!

I am not good at writing reviews but I know when I love a book! This is yet another awesome book by Kelly. I am always grateful for the day I found her first book I read.I have fallen in love with all her characters and story lines that she has written. My only regret is that there are not a hundred of her books already waiting to be read!

I love Kelly's work, i really do.I have to admit i was a little concerned with this book. Broken was near perfection and i didnt find that with the first part of this book. I was worried it was a flop. I found it repeated itself a little too much early on. I got sick of the "I Love You's" and the sex. With a little more plot and scenes that developed the characters this could have been as strong as Broken. I just felt that it was missing something.However it is still worth reading if you are a fan. Kelly creates a world easily and its easy to get lost in it.I will still without a doubt read her future novels because she can write and i am looking forward to what else she has in store.

Seriously love this series! Reed is soooooo swoon worthy ;-) I loved him threw the whole book! Something about a hot sexy sweet romantic cowboy does things to me lolCourtney is so strong, the things she has been threw in her past is heartbreaking n horrible but she finally stops carrering around the ghost of her past with Reeds help! I love how everything in this book played out, n something I love about Kelly & her fantastic stories is everyone gets their HEA, I'm a sucker for a good ending!! Also loved getting more of Whitley n Layton !!! Totally looking forward to Taylor & Walkers story...& their HEA ?! ;-)

I enjoyed this book I could not put it down would recommend it for other to read. Kelly Elliott is a good author.
