MagMod MagBox 24" Octa Pro Kit - Softbox Bundle for Speedlights, Strobes, and Off Camera Flashes

Update-After contacting manufacture they happily replaced the 2 damaged parts free of charge they asked for photos of damaged units and if any serial numbers as well. very happy with the process.This is or would have been an amazing but build quality is lacking for the cost of premium product I expected more. The zipper broke the first time I used it then the light lens/magnifier was cracked already. I just cant give this a good review for that.

If you haven’t seen the MagMod How I shot it videos on YouTube I highly recommend you do. That will conscience you this is an incredible product. I have all their modifiers. It has elevated my business

Great to travel with not as heavy..

Spend $500 on a setup only to realize when I received it that I still need to spend another $48 for 2 MagGrips to seat my 600EX's! Is this for real? It does not even come with a single grip? I'm at a standstill - so frustrating!!! I only received it 20 minutes ago and I'm ready to send it back! UGH

I'll start off with saying something nice - the quality of the materials is second to none, the fabrics are thick and durable. This is built to last. The way the flash mount has a ball head to swivel is fantastic.That's about where my positivity ends. For $500 you get a 24" softbox with a pointless magnetic mount, and the system all together becomes so heavy that it defeats the purpose of using a box this small. The 'convenience' of having, for whatever reason, magnetically attached flashes (which they aren't really since you end up clamping them in for safety anyways), comes a the cost of of being bulky and absurdly heavy for the small size this box is, which makes it tedious to carry around. In the end it all becomes a gimmick.There are a slew of 24-30" portable boxes out there that set up faster, weight a lot less, are easier and less bulky to carry around, and cost between $50-70. In the end they put out the same light quality since that's determined by the size of the box. I feel that most people I know who have bought and use this box either don' know any different, or are just trying to be trendy.

Todo está increíble y de un material súper resistente. Lo único al ser la primera vez que lo compré fue que al comprar el paquete Pro uno pensaría que lo puede usar inmediatamente, pero sorpresa faltaban los MAGMOD GRIP para colocarlos en el octa .... tuve que esperar y pedir cada grip de cada flash .... espero dure bastante el equipo ya que si es una inversión bastante fuerte.

Wirkt super, ganz toll!

I love this and it's brilliant being able use two speedlights or two AD200s. Had the MagBox come out sooner then I wouldn't have bought a Profoto B2 and would have just used two AD200s (I'm trying to sell the B2). It's beautifully engineered and the quickest/easiest softbox I've used. I love the light it produces and am looking forward to testing the Focus Diffuser to see if it works as it's meant to.I bought it to use on location and the one downside is the weight, which is why I have given it 4 stars. I handheld it for about 10 minutes and my arm was aching! I can understand why it's heavy because it seems strong and well made, plus obviously the magnets add a bit. I usually handhold my light because I shoot dogs, they move around a lot and I don't have an assistant. I've never had a problem before but I'm going to struggle with this.The bag it comes with is ok and I've heard some people can fit a lightstand in it, which would be useful. My stand is just too long unfortunately. The bag has a strap but is not that easy to carry and I wouldn't want to go far with it.All in all though it's an amazing product and I'm glad I bought it. The weight may even end up being an advantage on windy days as it should help to stop it blowing over.

It is so sad, I have waiting for weeks and got this.I think their quality control department is on holiday.
