Works as a thunderbolt 3 connector..
Works as a thunderbolt 3 connector. when used with thunderbolt 3 products. I have to wonder whether some reviewers fully understand the technology they are reviewing as some have complained that this doesn't allow for the data speeds they were expecting. It is more likely that they misunderstood the components specifications of what they were trying to join to each other using this cable, and there in lay their problems.

Insecure fit
The cable itself appears well made, with the braiding being stiffer than a few I have had.However when plugged into my mobile, I noticed that charging stopped or it would not charge, and every so often when I lifted my mobile the cable would simply fall out. Also, when it did connect to my mobile, the USB options came up on screen rather than simply charging the mobile.I tried 2 different charging plugs using both type C and a type A adaptor, and the same loose fit was evident. Same with my tablet. Upon closer inspection one of the male ends looked to be slightly shorter than the other, hence why i had to place the cable in a certain position for it so sort of work.Unfortunately not fit for purpose and I will be returning this.

Fit for the purpose - working as expected.
It fits perfectly for the purpose, you will not meet any surprises when you receive this wire. It doesnt overheat and there are no related issues of any kind. Data transmission is reliable. I recommend this item.

Do not meet the claim of 10 Gbps
Everything about these cables is great except that they don't perform to the speed stated (approx 1/2 the speed or usb 3.1 gen 1 only).Suspect that the cables are too long to deliver.I'll keep and make use of them but i'm very disappointed.I returned my previous purchase of another manufacturers cables of this length for the same reason.Suggest if you want the speed and can make do with 0.7m length you do as I now have done and buy a thunderbolt 3 usb c cable.

Did not work on HP Elitebook
Would not work with my HP Elitebook so bought another and it worked perfectly. This cable is resigned to the box I use to store stuff that will not work but not worth sending back.
