First 100 Words Lift-the-Flap: Over 35 Fun Flaps to Lift and Learn

Helps child to be involved and engaged when reading. My daughter just loves opening the flaps on each page. Bright and colorful pictures are great too!

Great book for toddlers to learn simple basic concepts and vocabulary!

My 16 month old forces us to read this about 70 times a day. We have many books but she chooses this one and the others from this series before any other books. It has lift up flaps and she likes having us point out things and name them. Educational, I love it.

I bought this book for my 15 month old to encourage her to start talking. She loves the flaps but unfortunately she is not light handed. She has taken most of them off by now at almost 18 months. I wish there was a lift the flap book with more durability to their flaps but this books is beautiful and has brilliant colors.

I didn’t realize how big this book was, but it was a pleasant surprise. Our 17 month old loves to carry it around. There are a bunch of flaps for her to play with and explore. I do wish the flaps were a bit of a thicker material because our daughter already ripped one of the flaps (I taped it back together), but I guess that isn’t too surprising at her age. Overall, we love this book and it’s a great introduction to words, object, shapes and colors!

My 15 m.o. son has had the smaller board book version of First 100 Words, First 100 Animals, and First Numbers & Shapes for months now. He loves board books and he really seems to enjoy those books in particular so when I saw the Lift-the-Flap version I knew I had to buy it. Whenever I ask him to bring me a book to read to him, he chooses these books pretty frequently. He also spends a fair amount of time going through them while pointing at each picture and speaking his toddler language to himself. The lift flaps on this book adds another aspect to keep his interest in the book a little longer. These books have held up fairly well to the abuse my toddler has put them through, the pages have been chewed on, pulled on, bent, books have been thrown, yet none are falling apart. I was a little worried about him tearing the flaps (as he's done with other books) but so far they seem to be holding up. I will continue to purchase these.

My son got the first version when he was a bit young -around 1-2 years old, and he tore off almost every flap - but still loved reading and counting as he approached 3, so I got him another (what I thought was the same book) for his birthday. I was so pleasantly surprised by the improvements! The new version has a radically different flap design that is far superior to the last one we bought a couple of years ago; Each page with flaps actually has two pieces of paper board laid on top of each other and the top one is cut out where the openings are but the "hinges are left completely attached to the upper sheet. This makes for much stronger flaps and many more hours of exploring before they rip. Even now after he is a solid 3-year-old he goes back to his "Big Book" as a night time reading choice on a regular basis and continues to find new things in it. Superb buy.

I’ve used many books by this particular publisher. I use them for my 18-month-old granddaughter, as well as using them in speech therapy for other children. I liked this book. However, I would’ve enjoyed a few more flaps. Kids love to open the flaps. It’s almost double the use of the book.

Very good quality. Has a hard cover 14 page book. Very colorful and it has fun flaps that lift. Really fun for children.

My baby loves this big book. She did ripped off most of the flaps but nonetheless she still loves it
