Taikuwu Outdoor DC 12V Automatic Infrared PIR Motion Sensor Switch for LED Light (Black)

Was sent by Royal Mail tracked delivery that was a day late. Not the seller's fault but RM are useless compared to Amazon's own delivery service.The sensor itself is light (maybe a bit too light - thin plastics). We'll see if it is actually weatherproof but looked to be fairly well sealed. The screw mount has a gasket. Slightly inconvenient to have to mount on a box and the mount thread is annoyingly small (like 16mm or something) so I couldn't just use my M20 hole saw that I use for cable glands and so on and boxes have knock-outs for. The sensor picks up motion at a fair distance and over a wide angle, which was good for me. You can adjust the sensitivity, the duration of on time and the lux threshold for it to only switch on when it's dusk / dark. It doesn't make a relay click noise when switching and I don't know how much load power it can handle. I'm switching a 3W LED lamp so 0.25A at 12V was fine.

It works and it works well. I’m using it to switch a 12v Led strip light in the tent on the back of my boat. Used as a just passing through and security light. 3 adjustments 1. Movement 2. Duration 3. Daylight detect. Needs mounting through hole in a junction box, a wall type option would be good. Very good for price.Captain K says yayyy

Have two of these one working fine with a 12v 10w LED spotlight, the second one I simply cannot get it to work correctly, same setting as the first in terms of sensor, time and lum but the sensor triggers the light and then just keeps ging on and off for the set time, it will not reset to the off position, there is nothing moving around it. Frustrated

You have to power this by 240v then it will feed a 12v amp. Giving the reduced voltage it will not power up on 12v, but works ok

This product is not fit for purpose - after installation it won’t recognise any movement - total rubbish
