The permanent solution to sun-faded bumpers and trim moldings. Forever Black Bumper & Trim Reconditioning Kit restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. This is not a silicone dressing. Forever Black is an easy-to-use permanent dye. It permanently colors black plastic, rubber and vinyl with the same polymers that the manufacturers use. Note: Silicone products will make plastic, vinyl and rubber appear to have regained their color but the change is temporary. Plus, silicone oils have been known to dry out the applied areas creating a bigger problem. Silicone also tends to leave a greasy residue even after buffing. How is Forever Black Different? Forever Black permanently dyes black plastic, rubber and vinyl. Forever Black will completely cover the worst wax build-up or sun-faded trim. Forever Black will not wash off. Forever Black dries in 5 to 20 minutes. No buffing is required. Once dried, Forever Black will not attract dust. There is no oily residue. Forever Black has a UV sun screen to help shield against future fading. The finish won't wash off! Forever Black will restore bumpers, spoilers, mud guards, door handles, body and trim moldings to a like new condition. It's quick and easy to use! Each kit contains: 4 oz. of Cleaner Concentrate 4 oz. of Forever Black Dye. Simply sponge surfaces to be treated with the cleaner to remove dirt, grease and dressings. Next, apply a coating of Forever Black using the shoe-dauber type applicator on the bottle. That's it! No buffing is required. In 5 to 20 minutes, your trim will be permanently black! Kit will cover the trim on at least two cars. (I usually can treat 3 or 4 cars from each kit.)

Answer to the Issue if used properly
I have had few automobiles with black plastic trim that faded after time in the sun. I was a fan of putting on a silicone based product, but it would always "wash off" with the first rain. It was a pain to put it on every time I washed the car or wanted it to look good. This product is the answer ! Like the many reviews beyond one from this seller, the product is a dye. Like others have said, the applicator on the bottle is useless. Like others, I recommend a 1 to 1 1/2 foam paint brush and a small cup (like a bathroom dixie cup or similar). Pour the dye in the cup, dip your foam brush and apply. It really is easy once you get used to it. The foam brush allows you a lot of flexibility in applying, from getting it tight spots to using the foam to help spread it evenly on larger areas.I WOULD RECOMMEND you apply it out on the road or in an area (not like your garage if you keep it need) where it won't cause you an issue if you spill some on the floor. it is a dye... Regardless how careful we are, we all have "accidents". I put my cup down and a slight wind caught it and made it spill. Good thing I was out in the street. No harm done ! If this was in my garage, I would be cursing...This all being said, when applied generously, it does cover the plastic and DOES look like it was new again when it dries. It dries quickly and you can re-apply if you have s few spots that uneven. Overall, it is a fantastic product. I used it on a 2007 Jeep. I applied to ALL of the black trim except the mirrors and tail light black trim and it looks like NEW AGAIN !You CAN get it off your car etc is you have some drips or an accident. It will come right off with a little tar/bug remover or a little bit of gas on a rag...Unlike the one star ratings in this product sellers space, they most likely did not use it properly (like the person putting black dye on gray). Unfair ratings..The Seller did send the product very promptly and I would use them again. The Product does what it says it does. I wish I had found it and tried it a long time ago ! :>)

Wear gloves. Forever Black works very well. The 13-yr old black bumpers on my car were a lighter gray than any "before" photo I'd seen, so I was ready to apply a second coat of Forever Black: It wasn't necessary! I used painter's tape to mask along painted surfaces to reduce spillover. what little there was, rubbed off the paint with a damp cloth. At only three weeks since applying, I can't say how long it will last, but there's plenty left for a 2nd and maybe 3rd application.

Avalanche and Escalade Owners - Here is Your Miracle In a Bottle
I've owned 2 Avalanches (both with the cladding and hard covers), and now I've got a Cadillac Escalade EXT with the hard covers. This product is the solution to all the faded and bleached plastic pieces. Living in the California Central Valley, the heat really fades the plastic (no matter what products you buy to "recondition" them.) Nothing worked. I heard about this dye and thought I'd try it out. I am so glad I did! It never occurred to me to dye the plastic instead of treating it. Such a simple idea, such a fantastic result.

Don't Believe The Negative Reviews!! Great Product!!
I have purchased this product several times now, and I have yet to have an issue or a complaint about the outcome after using it.I have used it on the black plastic and molding on several different vehicle makes and models, and I have yet to hear anything but praise on how good the vehicles look after completion. If you get anything but great results, chances are, you can chalk it up to bad preparation or user error!!As long as the pieces being treated are cleaned properly with either the supplied cleaner or rubbing alcohol, the product works great. If you are crazy/stupid to use it on any color other than black, then you are using the wrong product!! You get what you paid for!! It's called Forever Black for a reason...don't use it on gray or tan molding...they will end up black!!If by chance Forever Black happens to run onto a painted surface, it simply wipes off. And, in the worst case scenario, after Forver Black dries on a painted surface, use a good cleaner wax, and the run wipes away easily. If I do have 1 complaint, it's that Forever Black is very thin, and will run easily if not applied carefully...thin liquids and gravity don't mix well. Make sure you cover any surfaces under where you are working...Forver Blackk will stain driveways and cement if left to dry.Great product...professional results...END OF STORY!!

It does last and works great.
Does work great. I have a Xterra and had to order another bottle cause my truck is 7 years old. The weather has to be just right. And the older your car the more the dye soaks in. The bottle is a pain to use. Next bottle I am using sponge brushes that I get pack for a couple bucks at walmart.

very spotty
I have used this on bumper and lower side trim of my VW-Tiguan.After using it it leaves a not uniform finish some parts are black some are gray. The sponge part of the applicator is not very sturdy and began to break while using it the second time.

The results were terrific and looked great
I used it on my van bumpers front and back... also on the plastic wheel arches. I was careful to clean them and use the cleaning solution correctly that came with it. The results were terrific and looked great... for about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks even light rain was washing the black away. Now, I could accept that maybe on 1 bumper or maybe 1 wheel arch that despite using the cleaner correctly and thoroughly a bit of stubborn grease or whatever the manufacturer is going to ultimately blame could have been the cause of the black coming off. All surfaces it was applied to lost 90% of the black leaving a mottled (but mostly grey) effect. Believe me when I say the van looks way worse than it ever did before using this product. Some people here say it worked fine for them... and I'm pleased for them, but for me I would say.. avoid.

Looks good initially; however it isn't lasting too well.
I washed the bumper twice with white spirit and twice with the concentrate before applying the Forever Black Bumper product. I had previously used Autoglym Bumper Care, a silicon product, but I had assumed that the four washes would remove the silicon. Two months later, the product is now starting to flake off the front of the car , although the rear appears ok at the moment. The biggest difference (most that the product has flaked off) was after a long run along the motorway in pouring rain where obviously the front of the car took the brunt of the weather. It certainly looked fine after applying it; however it doesn't appear to be lasting too long. I will let the weather take its toll for another period of time before re-applying a few coats onto the front bumper. The bottom line is that, after this experience, I would not apply it to another vehicle, although I may as well persevere with the product on the current vehicle.

It made my 1950's car look like a more improved 1950's car....
I wish.... I wish this product came in a smaller size. I have an elderly car, and only needed about 1/4 of what's in the bottle, but I'm sure to find someone else with an equally elderly car to use some more. It's an easy product to use, and treated oxidised rubber comes up black, shiny and new looking.Part of the application went on with a small paintbrush, in order to navigate those pesky crevices.Good stuff.

Much better than the majority of similar products.
Came with decent instructions and was easy to use.Needed 2 coats as my trims were very sun bleached.Even with the winter salt and being pressure washed quite often, my trim is still black many months later.I highly recommend this product over the cheaper options.

IT DOES WHAT IT SAYS
I used this on my transit van bumpers and other plastics, its been on a few weeks now and they stil look like brand new bumpers, if you want a proper black to black then this is the product, and coverage is fantastic also, after finishing the LWB transit i i did the two bumpers on an old escort and i still have half a bottle left of both cleaner and the black

The Best Trim Renovator ever, as used by detailers in the US.
Excellent product if used strictly in accordance with instructions. Just make sure that all traces of silicone polish and dirt is removed by scrubbing trim with the remover liquid before drying thoroughly (compressed air for intricate mouldings helps here) and applying the forever black liquid with the applicator (purchase of additional smaller brushes for intricate mouldings is worthwhile). You will not be disappointed!

The best " back to black" product i have ever used
The best " back to black" product i have ever used. It withstands everything from rain, dew and even diesel over spills. its only been on my Volvo XC70 for a couple of weeks and so far excellent. There is easily enough, and more, in the bottle for my Volvo which has a lot of black plastic.,I would deffinitely recommend this product.

At last, something works!
This product actually works! I have tried everything going to get a decent finish on the plastic trim. Spray on, wipe on, nothing worked. I applied Forever Black about a month ago, have washed the car several times since with no sign of fading. Just protect the ground are it will mark if spilt, use sparingly and the result is magnificent.

Amazing product!!
Amazing!! Would 100% recommend! Worked wonders on my 2004 Corsa! I tried everything to restore the whiteness in the plastic on my car and nothing would work, a few products made it worse. The cleaner removed all previous products, and reviled worse whitening than in my "before" picture, the black dye takes a while to put on as I have a lot of plastic all around my car but is so with it. Would recommend 2 coats and on a windy day! Definitely would use again

The best bumper rejuvenater I have used
The best bumper rejuvenater I have used. The bumpers on my motorhome were dismal and grey. I had tried all the other products but this actually puts black on in almost paint like fashion. Sure it will need doing again but this works. Two coats is best!

Every car owner needs this!!
Best product ever bought for my car. I have a mini and it looks awesome but the bumper on the wheel arches and around the rest of the car had faded and put the look of the car down abit. Used this once and it makes the car look brand new! If you have plastic trim on your bumpers you need this!!! So good!!!

I know it rains a lot here but already my back bumper is showing wear marks...that's only a couple of weeks. It did a good job of covering a lot of parts of the car and there was enough in the bottle. With the exception of the back bumper I'm pleased with results

An impressive product
This needs to be applied carefully onto a very clean surface but once it's done it looks great. It has transformed dull grey-looking bumpers back to a smart-looking black. Very pleased I bought it.
