Suzy Toronto Daughter In Law I'm So Grateful Mug

I purchased this mug because I loved the sentiments on the front and the inside rim, and the lively, bright decorations. However, if I had known about the little "essay" on the back, detailing all the alleged reasons why the daughter-in-law is loved, I wouldn't have bought it. That's why I only gave it three stars. They really should show a picture of the back as well as the front on the item's description page... it's just too much. I wish there was a way I could erase it and extend the decorations over the spot where it was. (sigh)Right now I'm dithering about whether to return this item or go ahead and send it to my daughter-in-law with an explanatory note because that "essay" on the back is a tiny bit arrogant, even though it does express love and appreciation. I suppose I will go ahead and send it to her because the look is bright and fun, and she really is my "daughter in love" whom I am grateful to have in my family.

I love this mug and made my DIL tear up! Quality mug but took one star for packaging, which was terribly inadequate! I was surprised and thankful it had not broken due to terrible packaging!

Had I know the back included a long poem and it was directed toward a woman and a man I would have never bought it. My daughter-in-law and my daughter are married and I wanted to do something special for my daughter-in-law. From the picture I thought the front was perfect. She opened it on her birthday and read something that was embarrassing for me. I wanted my daughter-in-law to know she is special to me and my daughter.
