MG217 Anti Psoriasis cream: stinks a bit but it does work for psoriasis....slowly, 4.2 stars
This stuff comes in a small jar and the cream itself is a sort've light yellow-ish gel or cream that stinks a bit. The odor isn't terribly strong, so you won't clear a room, but has a distinct chemical smell to it.Goes on thin and looks like vaseline when its rubbed on.Takes at least a few days for it to start to work but it will get the skin on your hands healing after a while. Doesn't seem to be that great at stopping flare ups or swelling though. At least not on my skin. But everyone's skill reacts a little different to this stuff. Personally I use CeraVe Psoriasis cream to deal with swelling or flare ups and then rub this stuff on to get the skin healing.I've tried lots of other creams and this is the 1st one to do a decent job on actually healing the skin instead of just making the swelling and redness go down.

Literally the only thing that has worked after so many months!
It's rare I bother leaving a review, but I feel that it's important that I do. Within the past year, I developed psoriasis. And I tried so many creams, balms, lotions, supplements to no avail. So much money wasted with little to no results. Even when I did get some results, I'd flare up. And sometimes new spots came up with the flare up. But then I saw a mention on another review about this item. I was hesitant but at that point what did I have to lose. The only real downfall of this item is the smell. It smells exactly like it sounds. I really only apply it at home because of the smell. But in reality, I suppose you get used to it. By far though, this product has done wonders in the past 3 weeks. I am down to my initial spot which is the back of my neck now. All other spots have healed. No redness. No scaling. Just a bit of discoloration where the spots were, which I will take dealing with it for the past months. I used to wake up every morning with dead skin flakes all over my bed. Now my sheets are clear. The back of my neck is healing, but on a slower scale. But the redness is gone, just the discoloration. The skin does get dry and sometimes itchy, but that's after my day is done, which is a drastic improvement of having to apply cream or lotion every hour or two. Plus, the stuff is a great value. I apply it 1-2 times a day depending, and I still have 2/3 of the container left. I'm hoping people read this and use this. My psoriasis really made me self conscious. Now that I'm really healing, I feel like my old self again.

Effective scalp psoriasis treatment especially fur color treated hair
I have used this product for several years on my scalp psoriasis atleast once or twice a week It has always worked the best for me although the last change in formula does not appear to be as good as before I tried to find the reason for the formula change but was not able to find it It still works and now smells better I believe the coal tar amount was reduced

I think it’s working?
I’m using this product in conjunction with their salicylic acid lotion to treat psoriasis. It’s difficult to rate this one because of that fact. The two are meant to be used together as the lotion gets rid of scales and the coal tar is supposed to slow/prevent their production after they’re gone. The problem is that I can’t tell if it’s working. This was unavailable for a while so I used only the lotion. Using the lotion alone, my scales mostly cleared up but would reoccur to a lesser extent a few times a week. At some point I started supplementing the lotion with Aquaphor. Between the lotion and Aquaphor I haven’t seen scales in weeks. Now I’ve received the coal tar and have been using that instead of the Aquaphor. I don’t know if it has any added benefits. Still no scales but I don’t know that it’s any better than Aquaphor. That being said there are some negatives that really need to be addressed especially considering the fact that this product may work but it’s not adding a huge benefit if it does. First, and by far the most concerning negative is the fact that coal tar is a potential carcinogen. I didn’t see that in the description but it certainly has a warning on the bottle. However, I will say, do your own research on this. My research has said that coal tar is only carcinogenic for those who work with high concentrations. Many recent studies have shown that under 5% (this one is 2%) is safe. Second is that it stinks! It really is oil (like car oil) based, it reminds me of when my small town growing up only had gravel roads. Yearly they would cover the gravel in what I’m guessing was oil, this smells like that. Lastly, I’ve read that coal tar can stain stuff including your skin. I don’t know that this product has a high enough concentration to stain skin (I’m pretty light skinned and have seen no staining) but it might stain really light clothing/bedding.In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend against it but I also can’t highly recommend it either. The salicylic acid lotion is definitely magical, it 100% works, buy that for sure but the coal tar 🤷♀️?UPDATE: Now it’s kind of burning when I apply it to certain patches. I don’t know if that means it’s working or it’s just irritating a patch that’s on the verge of returning with a vengeance. Either way, there’s a slight burning sensation and while the scales are non-existent (Due to the salicylic acid lotion) my skin is now red where the scales used to be. I would say I’m allergic to the product but I used it for weeks with no problem. All the sudden though, the burning and redness. I’m about to go off the fence on this one. I still have hope that it’s actually preventing further flare-ups but the burning sensation and redness give me pause.
