Amazon Basics 5-Blade Razor for Women, Handle, 2 Cartridges & Shower Hanger (Cartridges fit Amazon Basics Razor Handles only) (Previously Solimo)

So I have actually been using these razors for years and I personally love them, they are not super expensive and I really like the 5 blade razor compared to 3 blade razors. Some things that I have noticed and also saw people had issues with in the reviews, to start the packaging, they actually just started using new packaging for the razor heads that are alot easier to open so you don't cut yourself. The old packaging had to plastic pieces that clicked together that were a little tougher to open but the new package it sits in a little cup and you just peel the paper to open it. Second the razor handle, this razor is compared to venus razors this does not mean it is going to fit your venus razor handles, amazon basics makes another razor set that is pink that says will fit venus razor blades if you want it to fit venus blades I would buy the pink one. I also personally buy a new 12 pack with a new handle whenever I run out if my twelve refills because being in a humid environment like the shower it is more prone to rust and it is recommended to replace the handles. Third the blade refills themselves, I really like them and have not had any issues with them being gummy or flaking but I also rinse my blade when I am done using it to get any hair out so it is clean when I hang it up to dry. It is also not recommended to cover your razor when wet or the cover will stick to the blade and it will waste your refill blade. You can cover your razor once it is dry to prevent it from sticking but if you keep your razor in the shower but do not use it every time you shower the humidity will also make the cover stick so I recommend not keeping it in the shower or keeping it uncovered. The fourth thing, the little hanger it comes with has personally never worked for me but it is very hard to keep anything that suction cups to the wall to stay in a humid environment like a shower. I personally have a corner insert with shelves for my shampoo, conditioner, ect that is removable, the shelves are wire shelves so I bought little hangers that you can hang from the shelves and just put my razor on that instead of using the hanger it comes with. Sorry for such a long review but hopefully this helps somehow because these are really good razors in my opinion.

I will never spend top dollar for razors again. In the past, I've always used Gillette Fusion 5 razors. I have very razor burn prone skin and have been afraid to switch for a long time. Lately, refills for the Gillette Fusion 5 have seemed to lose quality and I went from being able to use them multiple times before tossing to getting just 1 use without irritation. Finally, I had enough and decided to try out the Amazon Basics 5 blade razors because they had such great reviews. I've tried the men's and women's and I love them both! Obviously the price is WAY better, but I have been able to use both multiple times without irritation or the blades dulling. I've actually been able to use either for more uses than I ever got out of the Gillette razors. Ultimately, I've decided to start regularly buying the Amazon Basics Men's 5 blade razors and refills because of the MotionSphere handle. The flexibility just makes shaving all over more comfortable and easy in my opinion. Other than that I'd say the 2 are equal when it comes to the sharpness and longevity of the blades and also the lubricating strips. I definitely recommend these razors (men's or women's). You will save money and won't sacrifice quality a bit.

I have really sensitive skin so I was worried about whether or not I would get razor burn from this product, especially for the price. I was blown away. It gives a really close and pain-free shave, and each blade lasts me about a month and a half.

These work so well. Make my legs super smooth and the amount you get for the price is awesome! Considering the amount of blades provided, I wish they would have included 2 handles, just in case. I hope nothing happens to the one I got before I run out of blades. These work as well or better than Venus or the other leading brands.

I love this razor! It leaves my legs so smooth and the stubble doesn't start coming back as fast as with most razors. Price is great too.

Really decent razor for the price. I decided to try these in place of the Venus I've used for years. I used them this morning and was pretty satisfied. Really sharp and smooth.

I was in the market for a new Razor, since the brand I have been using has discontinued the one I used, and came across these. I liked that it was blue, everyone else in the house has black, and had a large razor head & shield. I thought it would be easier for me to handle in the shower without my glasses. Well, I was very wrong.I got in the shower today and attempted to remove the razor shield, and it would not come off. By now I am well drenched and so is the razor. The gel is so slippery I begin to fumble with it and now the razor head pops off. The gel is now all over my hands, making it near impossible to place the head back on, never mind trying to remove the stubborn shield. Without my glasses I can not see what I am doing, way is up, or in! I ended up having to step out of the shower to find a replacement for the time being.I swear, to an audience this would have been comedy gold. But to me, the user, it was infuriating and a tad nerve wracking. I really did not want to cut myself before being able to shave.So, judging the single time I got to use it prior to today …•Does it shave well?-Yes.•Does the gel activate and make things silky smooth?-Yes, too much so.•Would I recommend it?-Only to someone who doesn’t need glasses, OR someone who does not replace the razor shield after every use.

Stopped my razor subscription after I tried these. Smooth shave. Good price. Definitely recommend.

When Amazon launched Solimo razors, I decided to buy some of the men's ones for myself and this women's one for my wife. Since I bought a large pack with 16 cartridges, I offered my wife to try out the men's one after using this women's version and she preferred the men's one more, especially when she found out the men's ones were cheaper. Since we both switched to Solimo men's razors, I discovered that the exact same handles and cartridges are sold at FreshCo/Sobeys/Foodland under the store brand, and they're even cheaper than the Solimo cartridges, so we'll be buying from there in the future.

I ordered this razor after reading all the reviews on it and decided that it was worth a try. I have always had trouble finding the right razor that didn't leave little cuts around my knees, but this one worked so well! I now have the refills sent to every other month! Definitely give this a try.

Bought it. Tried it. It was okay for 3 shaves but useless afterwards. Even when new, it doesn’t come close to Venus. I will go back to buying expensive Venus because it cost less when the blade lasts longer, Duh! Will I buy this again? Maybe, if Venus becomes so expensive I can’t cough up the money.

I have been looking for a good quality razor with 5 blades. So far I haven't found anything that gives a nice close shave, until now. The head swivels to go around curves, and has something in the head that moisturizes as you shave. So far it seems to give a nice close shave, but I haven't used it long enough to know how long it lasts.

I like this just fine. Does what you want it to do. The moisturizing strip works well. I’m disappointed that the refills are touch and go as for availability. Well worth the money if you can get the 12 pack refills.
