App Development for Dummies equivalent -
The App Factory Playbook: How You Can Develop Your App Idea Without Learning to Code and Without a Technical Co-Founder If you are a Budding Entrepreneur, who has A Great Idea for an App and in need of Technical Assistance this is the "App Development for Dummies" equivalent. Written in concise easy to follow language with Drew Gorham' guidance you wont need to hire a technical co-founder, pay too much money to an overpriced app agency, or learn to code. Drew is founder of App Factory, is an award-winning product manager who has coached hundreds of nontechnical entrepreneurs through the early stages of product development. Drew has developed apps for Fortune 500 companies including Intel, Tesla Motors, and Kaiser Permanente. Do yourself a favor that will save you countless hours of frustration not to mention the money you'll save by partnering with Drew to make your Dream Come True. "The App Factory Playbook" can be your tool to the complex world of App Development ... I highly recommend it.Don Goodson

Very superficial depth
Book is essentially marketing for a platform named toptal for finding software engineers, which is a very expensive for most, if not practically all, nontechnical founders. Toptal is mentioned repeatedly across several chapters. In addition, most concepts could be found and understood after performing a few quick searches on the web and watching a couple of YouTube videos. Need a nontechnical seller, a designer, and a software engineer.Need to thoroughly sketch and plan out app before seeking for it to be built, yet be agile in development process. (Two example takeaways that are very simple in nature, yet take several pages to convey.)

Great high-level guide to get started
Super fast, easy read to get you from square one on your app. Offers great resources as well. Does not go at all into some of the important technical details of which coding languages serve which purposes, but overall very worthwhile (short) read.

Super easy to follow
For this non-techie, this book spoke my language. Super easy to follow. The clear explanations, the checklists, the available templates all served to provide a step-by-step path from idea to execution. I feel like I can make my app idea a reality! The tone was very positive and encouraging and I especially appreciated the author’s honest review and appraisal of his experience with and his recommendation of business partnerships. The author is accessible so I can check in with any questions I have along the way….invaluable!

Strong concepts but very basic
I think it's in general good advice, though it's for a first timer. I also didnt like the amount of marketing on his own product and the rather small review of every other product he suggests.

It’s filled with tons great tips that strike an ideal balance between being innovative ...
This book was exactly what I was looking for!As a recent graduate with limited technical knowledge, I found the prospect of trying to build my own app overwhelming. However, after reading the App Factory Playbook, I believe it’s something I can now carry out with confidence. Beyond its straightforward approach, what I most appreciated about this book was the quality of insight it provides. It’s filled with tons of great tips that strike an ideal balance between being innovative and practical.

A great read.
While Gorham's first dedicated to building Apps it does include some broaden leadership and managerial gems, I would paraphrase as "play to your strengths," "don't get bogged down by irrelevant detail," and "get quality help!" Different from every other App building or code-cutting book I have read ... for the first time ever I felt empowered as a person with ideas and vision rather than being burdened by a lack of coding skills. A great read.

Definitely a good book for newbies entrepreneurs like me
Definitely a good book for newbies entrepreneurs like me. Great suggestions but much of them are probably collaborative or affiliate. He talks a lot about Toptal and suggested a referral for a 1k rebate, But he doesn't tell you that exact cost ( like the small fees you pay for other tools which he mentioned in the book) which is a 500$ deposit just to pass on and talk to the right person, also he said that toptal accepts fix weekly price but they said on the phone they only do hourly rate and sometimes weekly.I could carry on but maybe this is just a marketing thing, however I think is ok overall and helps.Just do not stick to everything he says on the book :)

Great practical read
Delivers what it promises, practical advise on creating apps for non technical people. I give it 4 stars because it feels the author is a bit bias on recommended service providers (specially on developers finder apps), but overall great advise throughout.
