Telescoping 3-step boat ladder extends to 33" for water access, making it much easier to board a boat at the transom area. Ladder rungs feature rubber tread grips for comfortable added traction. When not in use, the ladder can be retracted and flipped up for storage on the 18" x 14" fiberglass swimming platform, between the 0.875"D handrails. A properly installed ladder safely supports up to 300 lbs. maximum. Each boat transom ladder includes mounting brackets, angled braces, and lag bolts for boat installation. Drilling is required. Made with stainless steel construction built to last.

Best deal in swim ladders....
After spending the last 9+ years wishing I had ordered a swim platform/ladder when I ordered my boat, I finally ordered this one and ditched the folding ladder. It arrived promptly from Discount Ramps, whom I've ordered roof racks and other items from, and never had an issue. Initial inspection looked good, no blemishes and include all the stainless parts I needed to install it on my boat....something others often omit. This platform/ladder was quite a bit less expensive than others I looked at, but after installing and using for 3 weeks, cannot say it is not as good as others costing double. It installed easily and had not one, but two copies of the installation instructions (other reviews complained of no instructions, but to be honest, if you need instructions to install this item, you should probably hire someone to do it....its about as straight forward as possible. The hardest part was deciding where, to clear the engine, tow strap D rings and other accessories or items installed on the inside of the transom.)I opted to install as as an I/O so I would have two hand holds vs. installing as an outboard platform with one grab handle and one lower support. The kit includes everything you need to install either way, and if you have a really heavy boarder, I don't see why you couldn't use both upper grab rails AND the lower support, although i weigh 255 lbs and find the unit to be extremely sturdy with just the two upper mounts/handrails. This platform is easy to use, and much easier to reach down and stow after use than I expected. I am very happy having this mounted to the transom and not having to carry, stow and deal with the old folding ladder....one less thing deal with. Get this one, you will not be disappointed.

Great Purchase
By far the best purchase we have made for our boat do far! We have tried less expensive options and probably already spent $150.00 on other ladders, just do not waste your time or money. I am able to get in and out of the boat easily, and my 250 lb+ husband has no problem either. I only wish we would have purchased this ladder sooner.

Ok, but....
I used the outboard motor mounting configuration with one U-shape support, the bottom support and the angle bracket. The brackets didn't fit as implied by the instructions (no pictures provided), so had to improvise and relocate the angle bracket provided as well as the lower support bracket. Directions are very vague. My 100 lb son used it and said it feels 'like it moves around' when he climbs up. The deck seems solid, but the hardware is fairly lightweight. Will need to wait and see what a season of use does to it.

it seems sturdy and well-made
I just received the platform and have not mounted it yet. I was reading through the questions and reviews about it coming with a 90-degree bracket for mounting underneath and being able to use just one handrail (for outboard setup). Mine did not come with such a support. There are no mounting instructions, which doesn't bother me as much as not having the bottom support. Though not shown in the photo, the questions/answers and other reviews reference having a bottom support. Overall, it seems sturdy and well-made.

Fit perfect and installs easily.
This was perfect for my big Crestliner fishing boat. The installation was straight forward and the quality seems great.

Just installed it and it works great. I have an existing swim platform on the back of my older boat. The starboard side got damaged by the dock in a heavy storm and broke the ladder and 18 inches of platform. I was able to cut remove and add this unit with both handrail supports and the 3rd support for added security. This saved me over $2000.00.
