Gardening
Im a sparky, and these are good good for ground rods. Better on an sdsmax tool, but if if it's a corded sds+, you might be OK.This is fantastic for driving rebar and other posts in the garden. Makes staking a breeze.

Worth every penny!
Purchased this to drive ground rods for a service upgrade. First rod went in the ground easy as pie, the second rod was a different story. At around 3 feet I hit rock and by the time the rod was all the way in, this socket had been put through the ringer and still was in great condition. Impressed that it didn't mushroom the end of the rod to bad after all of that either. Don't know how well it would hold up if you were using it professionally, but for occasional use I would definitely recommend it.

Wow! Just Wow
My friend was gonna try to weld me up something from a cheap SDS bit but this cost less than a cheap bit and the necessary welding rods. This little devil sunk 12 feet of ground rod into dense dry soil in less time than it took to unroll the extension cord and set up the drill and ladder. I was expecting this job to take half an hour with a fence post setter plus another 15 with a hammer leaving me all wrung out . But nope, five minutes of easy one-handed work. If you want to sink a ground rod and have access to a decent hammer drill (mine is a cheapie from HF) this will save you time, sore muscles, and ringing ears. Worth six stars to an old guy.

Seems to be good quality
I am puzzled why one make a tamping adapter for SDS-plus. The only ones I could find are SDS-max. I didn’t need anything large, just 2”x2” or so to tighten up soil around a pipe fitting I had to repair. Anyway, I took a 5/8” bolt, stacked several oversized washers on it, wrapped the bolt to make a snug fit in this adapter and there I had it, a reasonably functional tamper for my SDS-plus hammer. It worked like a charm. I’m sure it will also be very helpful driving ground rods and possibly other things. Build quality appears to be good.
