Each one works great, with zero play for the diode. i got a salvaged red 250mW in Two, and a Bluray 440nm in another, A tip for anyone complaining about the hole being too small for your diode, Use the back of the module or anything else that has a hole where only the diodes legs can fit into, Then Use a c-clamp or Vice to slowly press fit the diode into the copper piece, There are a lot of videos showing how to do this.

These work great, I've used 2 of the 3-pack that I bought. I also bought the press kit which does help to get the diode seated nicely. I was able to swap the lens out with some others that I had bought elsewhere. I was also able to put the copper part into a larger heat sink which is working very well. I agree with another reviewer that having both pieces made out of copper would be better for heat sinking and give this the full 5 stars. I have no regrets on this purchase and plan on buying more of these if/when I get more diodes.

These are the best. Far better quality that the other cheap housings you will find. The diode / lens section is copper, and the tube is aluminum giving you far better thermal properties.The guy complaining about his diode not fitting is clearly unaware that you must press the diode in with a press tool (or a homemade tool like i use) this is a plus as the diode will make good thermal contact with the housing.

Though I carry other types of modules, these are the only ones I use for my own builds.

I just wanted to add some balance to the reviews. I actually ordered the 3 module kit with the diode press kit. These diode modules are very good. My experience is that they fit the 5.6 perfectly. I'm not sure what the specs were on the other reviewers diode that did not fit but I have 5 - 5.6 diodes all pressed perfectly into these modules. I also have a full collection of glass single, multi and G-2 lens (Aixiz and others) that also fit just fine. While I'm on the subject the G2 lens are GREAT! You get a much higher quality lens, which means better beam characteristics and increased power. All of my laser are for the table, so I do use them differently than some, none are portable. To be fair I should probably give them a 5 star but I wish the module was solid copper, both the sink and the barrel. DTR also has lens that are an incredible deal. Highly recommend the lens kits. AND WEAR YOUR GLASSES!

Very nice for the price. As others have pointed out, the laser diode does need to be pressed into the housing for solid contact and good heat dissipation.A good seller with a solid reputation.
