Mambino Organics Calendula Nursing Balm, Calendula - Olive, .63 Ounces

This balm provided incredible soothing comfort from a very itchy alternative! I'd been given a lanolin-based balm in the hospital after the birth of my son, and found that after the first several days, I was incredibly itchy, clearly allergic to it. Nursing has enough challenges, and adding irritation to the chest area is unthinkable! After being given a sample of this balm at a local retailer, I was hooked. It is absolutely wonderful for soothing nursed nipples and is also incredible as a face balm I've used on my baby, now toddler and still using, before we head out into Northeast winter wind and below zero windchills. I will likely continue to buy this to have on hand for cuts and minor scrapes too, as I've noticed it really helps heal those too!

I am getting our hospital bag ready and a nursing balm is one of the items I needed to pack. I was about to get one of the very popular brand but after trying this one out I will be using this one for now. I like the ingredients and the formula, it works well on my skin. My only minor dislike is the smell - I wish it had more of a shea butter smell that was pleasant to the nose. It smells alright on the stick but once I apply it on my skin it does not smell good.

I first used the Calendula Nursing Balm while I was nursing my son. It helped alot, although I did eventually require a prescription balm to heal the most severe lacerations. I later discovered an excellent use for the leftover balm: healing the cuts on my severely dry hands (which result from even mildly cold weather, or sudden changes in weather). I recently ordered this product again specifically for my hands and would highly recommend to anyone with the same problem. I usually apply it at night right before bed, since it is fairly greasy; usually by morning the cuts are 90% healed!

Love the smell of this product. Love a lot of this company's products, however, it comes as a stick and if you are really sore, it hurts to apply it. The consistency is very solid so I had to try to soften it up in between my fingers. I ended up not using it because of the consistency, It's be better if it was just a bit softer and came in a jar.

The BEST balm that you could buy! This was recommended to me by my Doula and goodness, she was right! I give this as a gift to every nursing momma I meet.

I love that it comes in a stick because I don't have to get goopy balm all over my fingers when applying. I keep several of these scattered throughout the house so I can always grab one after nursing!

I had an absolutely horrible time nursing with severe cracking and bleeding. Even after multiple lactation consultant visits and a prescription ointment, I wasn't healing. That is, until I found this miracle cream! I don't know why it worked, but it healed me up within a week or two (after struggling with it for almost 6 months!). I love this product and recommend it to all the moms I know who have trouble.

I bought this because it doesn't contain cocoa butter, it comes in an easy to use stick, and because it has the specific herbs (calendula and sea buckthorn) that I was looking for in a nipple balm. I can't empirically attest that this product promoted my nipple healing because this is my first baby, but I can say that I applied it liberally after every feed and let my nipples get lots of air, and I was completely healed and nursing like a pro after only 5 days of redness, soreness, cracking. Since I healed up I am only using the balm about twice a day but I think it is definitely promoting the health of my skin. My only gripe would be that the product is a little too soft to be in a stick, however it did work reasonably well and I would absolutely buy it again and recommend it to others.

Best nipple balm ever! No cracked nipples and I'm a first time mom with extremely sore, raw nipples!
