Ok guys, I've been into the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of LED bulbs since they first came out. Now, I am mesmerized by color-changing bulbs and battery-backup LEDs. for power outages. But this bulb is another game changer for me. Not only is it LED and bright for home use but it makes an excellent security light that works! It also is free of traditional ugly and cumbersome motion IR sensors. This makes this bulb one of the neatest things to come along in LED technology in a while. I'm not sure how it works exactly, but I'll telling all of my friends about it. Way cool!

Using this light bulb on front porch entrance. Works perfectly. First order was shipped very quickly, but one bulb did not work. I initiated a “chat “ with Amazon customer service and a replacement was shipped right out. Next order was perfect. Highly recommend.

Got them for my closets - love that they catch movement when outside coming in, if the door is open. If I open the door and walk in it doesn’t always sense movement. I have to play with why and when it catches movement. But for now I do like that it gives me instant light.WISHES _ that it had a shut off timer - they shut off too quickly AND they sometimes just turn on when I am in the room - and as my title states if you get spooked easily like I do, perhaps not for you.

These bulbs state that they need to be facing downward and in an open fixture to work properly. I have found that they work in other positions and in an enclosed frosted glass fixture. We have one horizontal above our door in the mentioned frosted glass enclosed fixture. The other bulb is in the back of the house and in a vertical up position. It is in an enclosed clear glass housing. Both bulbs detect human and dog walking by and turn on. These are great value for the money. The only issue is that they will turn off after the set time from first motion, and you will need to trip the motion again to get it to turn back on. This may be because it is not installed the 'proper' way. The result is a few seconds of darkness between the timed light. Would buy again for other light fixtures.

Works great at night but only stays on for 17 seconds after motion stops. It does also turn on during day time. I have it in glass porch fixture and it detects motion, day and night. Not really a big deal for day time but would like it to stay on the full 30 seconds the seller says.Side note: my porch light motion sensor stopped working so instead of tossing a $200 fixture our I just put in the motion bulb and I’m back in business and $200 ahead. Motion bulbs were cheap and works perfect inside glass fixture.

This is the fourth different style/brand motion light that I have purchased/tried. This sensor works fantastic. It will light up as soon as your feet hit the line of sight from the bulb, even from the bottom of the stairs in the hallway. It will even pick up movement and light up thru a wall or door. perfect for my use to light a long hallway with stairs. I highly recommend,

I ordered two of these light bulbs and they were junk, one would almost never shut off and finally it quit working, the next one would never come on unless I smacked with my hand. I hope if you buy any your luck is better then mine

These bulbs work great. I installed two of them above my front door. The light fixture that I have has two spots for bulbs which are positioned horizontally side by side with each other and sometimes only one of them will turn on while the other one doesn't but this is not a big deal because they're bright.
