Matouk's West Indian Hot Sauce, 26 Ounce

I love hot sauce and this is simply the best. This sauce has an incredible balance of heat and flavor.

My wife is West Indian so she is very particular about her hot sauce, and the sauces they sell in supermarkets are simply too weak for her. Matouk’s is her go to sauce which we used to get all the time in Brooklyn, NY, on Church Avenue. The small Korean owned markets would sell the 26 ounce bottles for $4 years ago. And when we moved out of NY the Matouk’s sauce was no where to be found. So, like once per year we had friends buy it in Brooklyn and bring it to us when they visited. Well, along comes Amazon and we are back in business baby! You can order this gem of a hot sauce, two different flavors, and receive it in 24 hours with Prime, and the price for the 26 ounce bottle is reasonable, especially with shipping included. My wife goes through a 26 ounce bottle in about a month and a half... so we have ordered Matouk’s several times and will continue to do so. If you like your sauce flavorful and hot... Matouk’s is for you.

Heat. Warmth. Depth. Flavor. This is my favorite. On pizza, eggs, hot dogs, bbq.

This is what I've been looking for my whole life. The flavor is delicious. It's not vinegary. The Heat is perfect for me. On a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being fire. 1 being bland. This hits a 6.5 for me. But it's a slow kind of burn/Heat where you can still taste all the food. Like I could taste the rice, potatoes, olives, ham, etc.I will be buying another bottle once I finish this review. It's perfect.I like this better than Bertie's, flavor wise. Berties is like a 7.5 on my Heat scale. If that helps ant.

Grew up adoring this hot sauce, a staple of the table, and I was SO excited when I found it on Amazon.If you've never had it, don't let 'mango' fool you. This stuff is hot, Trini style, and amazing. Add to roti or anything traditional, AND throw it on your American foods too for some fun flavor kick. Some favourites (so random) of ours are- mac and cheese- pasta salad- chicken sandwich- nachosIf you're a Trini, welcome home.;)

I first tried Matouks years ago and loved it. Then for some reason, I wandered into a hot sauce wasteland where heat was the only measure. With this order, I returned to my old favorite. I take it to my local wing shop and use it in soups and other places where it adds to the flavor and brings just the right amount of heat.

I first tasted this product while in the Bahamas. Ordered it from Amazon as soon as I got home. It can be added to just about anything.....and it really brings the heat.
