Great product! good bye 3 little tiny tubes for me! This is a one and done.
I was always a Genie garage grease guy and I hated those tiny tubes. This product is now the ONE to get. the size of it should last a lifetime. Thanks for making it so!The price can't be beat. The quality of the grease is the same or just as good as those tiny tubes you get for almost the same price as this 1 nice fitting tube.easy to apply. cut the tube at an angle and no problems.I have a screw drive and I applied it yesterday and it is whisper quiet! clean your rails in a few months and apply it again if you so choose.my first time using this product and I can NOT tell the difference between the "genie" brand and this. This is a great find and like I said never again for those 3 tiny hard to use tubes.

Outstanding lubricant for garage door tracks
There's plenty of lubricants for garage door lubrications needs. This is a regular maintenance item that needs to be periodically to keep your garage door working efficiently. This lubricant has worked well for my needs. It's cold temperature rated, so you get all of the benefits even during cold temps. It's easy to apply and stays in place without sagging. The biggest benefit is how quiet the garage door track is while in operation. On a different note, and to complete the lubrication needs of the garage door, I use Liberty synthetic oil for the rollers. Your garage door will be super quiet. This is definitely a five star item.

It's a great great grease for garage doors.
Quiets down noisy and unloved garage door screw drives. Very pleased with Lubriplate Low Temp grease.Much better at the job than the tiny tubes that Genie garage door grease is sold in. This is close to the viscosity of Genie brand garage door grease (1 vs 1.5 NGLI) and you receive a much larger tube 0.25 oz vs 10oz.Applied it immediately after receiving it. It does separate a little, so just keep an eye out and have a paper towel ready. If you are looking for the exact grease Genie uses, try Lubriplate Aero.

Good replacement for Genie Screw Drive grease
Since I am reviewing four products today I will copy and paste this review into all four for easy cross reference for anyone else who goes through what I did. All four products came from Sanford and Son? Overhead Doors and fulfilled by Amazon. All four shipped quickly and arrived very fast. The three Genie parts were the same as the originals. I was replacing the Genie 34107R.S Screw Drive Carriage which had stripped and was no longer opening the door (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CST1L4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_14). I believe this stripped because the Limit Switches were installed in a shabby fashion on my garage door opener, the Genie Excelerator screw drive system, and the open limit switch (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00286CVAQ/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3 ) stopped working (both switches, for some reason, the wires were run under the switch itself and srewed onto the rail, which caused them to strip over time because the wires were not tied down properly using the clips; versus just using the clips and tying the excess wire in a loop with a twist tie at the end closest the power head assembly) . The Excelerator will shut off when enough force is exerted on the bumper mechanism, so even though the open limit switch stopped working the door would stop once it pushed hard enough against the bumper. However, this use of force to shut down the system over time wore down the screw drive carriage (took a little over a month for me). Since the close door limit switch (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00283OBXY/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_8) had also been installed improperly and also seemed like it was having problems (sometimes it seemed to work, sometimes it seemed force was taking over) I decided to replace the whole setup. So, two new limit switches, a new screw drive carriage, and a tube of the grease folks seemed to recommend over the higher priced Genie brand 3 pack (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FJ07W2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_7) and I'm back in business. I am no expert, believe me, but the install of all three was a very easy one person job. Simply release the carriage from the Curved Door Arm, unscrew the one screw from the Head Bracket, and lift the rail high enough to slip off the old drive carriage. Have the new carriage ready to go and slip that right on. Lower the rail back on the head bracket and screw it back in place. Reconnect to the Curved Door Arm. The limit switches unscrew and screw easily back on. The wire clips just pop off very easily and are easy to reuse. The new limit switches do not come with the screws that hold them in place, so make sure to keep your existing screws because you will need to reuse them. I used the clips to hold down excess limit switch wire until I reached the Power Head Assembly, and then I just rolled up the rest of the excess, tied it up with a twist tie, and laid that on top of the Power Head Assembly. The greasing directions that Genie provides with their grease (available here from the Homedepot site ([...]) has you wipe down the rail before you put the new grease, and then wiping off excess once you grease the screw drive shaft. Not sure how necessary that is, but I did it, and then found I needed to do a few runs of grease along the rail to lube it up right. Maybe they meant wipe off mess that does not go on the drive shaft or rail...because you need the grease on those. One final note, once I reassembled eveything I realized the rail was not straight because the carriage was moving on an angle. It turns out that the Rail Strap had bent (this thing is heavy metal) presumably because of force causing the door to stop closing instead of the close limit switch. I had to go back and take that off and bend it by hand to straighten it out. Two months later and all is working...although I need to hire somebody to come out and balance my door because I realized when I took everything apart that the door came down very hard when not connected to the system and it should almost be balanced and not go down at all. Since balancing a door could be a bit dangerous I am choosing not to try that.

outrageous
What an excellent product. Lubed all my garage door railings and wheels. The door opens much more quietly, with less effort from the opener and you can definitely tell the difference. Hasn't been winter yet, so I can't say how it will do in ice cold weather here in the NE, but so far, I am tickled pink with the sheer difference in quietness and ease of the garage doors opening and closing. Just for the info of others- the original tube I got was a gray color- the one they show now is yellow- but I bought two more (since the stock numbers were identical) and both were the same gray as the original. Also, it is far less expensive here at Amazon than at any box store. Thank you, Amazon.com!!

Not Calcium-based
I understood from other reviews that what I was going to receive when ordering this might not look like the picture. I get that, and don't care about packaging. The problem is, and be aware, it's not just the packaging. The product inside the tube is not what is described in the item description. "Anhydrous Calcium-based" is what the description states. The product I received clearly states it's petroleum oil. If you're planning on using this product to lubricate anything that's made with petroleum-based products (like plastic or rubber), be aware that it will accelerate it's degradation. It should not be used in those situations.

Shhhhhhh!! This is a great product at a great price.
This stuff worked perfectly on our Genie screw drives. I put a good sized bead down the entire track and then ran each of the doors. One door is almost silent and the other has a very slight hum. Much better than the choppy bumping sound from before. It has been 20-40 degrees over the past month and there is absolutely no change in the noise. Awesome product and a much better price for the amount you receive. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Great Product
Took less than 30 minutes to complete my garage door. It went from being very noisy that it woke up people when opened to silence like when it was first installed 13 years ago.
