Great replacement from OEM. Took 20 minutes to install, and works the same. Would've taken 3 days to get from the dealer and cost $50 more.

Exact fit and easy install for 2010 tundra

Attention to detail and fit and function are flawless. I lubricated, with a spray gel lube, every moving part all the way to the ends. The tailgate on this 2009 Tundra works flawlessly. On the down side, the physical weight of the part ,which is entirely plastic, is such that I give its life expectancy similar to mine, kinda short. But you never know. One nice point is it came with cut lip type springs were already installed. After installation I found the old cur lip spring and cussed, thinking I found have to fully remove part to put spring in but to my delight when I started to remove I saw a new one already in place, well done!!

My tundra is basically a hardware store, dump run or camping truck. Ive had it forever but it doesn't get used much. The tailgate handle finally broke and it was the best thing honestly. Its been half busted for years where I need to yank the heck out of it just to get it to open. I always forgot to fix it until the next time I needed the truck. Now im kicking myself for putting it off and living with the annoyance. This thing was cheap, and it only took 10-15 minutes to install. Takes a bit of lube to get it smoothed up but now it opens easy as youd like. I honestly don't remember if it was this nice brand new.

The handle is a lot better than my previous replacement on my tundra. If you use your 07-13 tundra be prepared for these to break a lot. The only downside is the lock that you would swap over fits looser into this product than my previous so be carefully when installing, I can probably go and add tape or a washer to try and take up the slack/gap that makes it loose.
