Great value for money, you get a lot for what you pay for! To those who know of crisco's other use, yes, it works perfectly well! Just don't use the same tub for cooking...

So glad I can purchase this here, as not many supermarkets seem to sell the Trex vegetable shortening, not sure why, as this is a necessary item when making models etc. for cakes and used by hundreds of cake decorators!

Bought this solely to season my cast iron pans and Weber grill grates because it's gotten super hard to find veg shortening in Spain these days. This will probably last me as long as my pans do!

The product is very good, it met my expectations, easy and quick to use

The perfect viscosity, smoke temperature, flavor, purity, dispenser/container,… even the can is sturdy & leakproof. The lid even fits perfectly on the bottom of the can for convenience. Try that with those knock off store brands. That alone definitely makes it worth the extra $.20. Why cheap out with no-name knockoffs when you can have the classic? It’s classic and been around for decades for a reason. Useful for more than cooking. Get Dawn to cleanup any left behind. Don’t let leftovers, spills or dishrags get hot and you’ll never have that “ greasy deep fryer “ smell that’s totally avoidable. Get the sticks only if you need precise measurement and plan to use a whole stick quickly because they’re not easy to save.
