Does exactly what it's meant to do
I've purchased this mat from my local Marshall's store instead of Amazon. Disclaimer: I am receiving a free jump rope for this review. Although it seems like this mat is marketed towards yoga, I use it to do ab exercises at home. I wanted something thicker than a regular yoga mat and this does the trick - I really like the cushiony feel of this mat. It feels much nicer than most plasticky/hard workout mats that you can normally find in gyms. And there's absolutely no rubber/foam smell!. Rolls up nicely and can be stored under the bed, etc. I used it for two weeks before posting a review to see how it would hold up or whether it would start getting compressed (as a lot of foam things do over time), but so far it holds its shape well. If you'll look at the picture, you'll see some deep gouges in the mat, these are from being improperly stored in the shop where I bought it from - basically, it got scratched on the crate that it was lying in, so be careful with how you handle it, as it could be prone to such damage. Overall, couldn't be any happier with this mat - it does exactly what it's meant to do while being very comfortable.

Fantastically great mat at a great price!
This is an outstanding mat, superb quality. I have resisted buying a rubber yoga mat because the ones in the store are so flimsy and thin, more like a placemat. Not this one! It is cushy, thick, squishy and comfy, just what my aching joints need. I am recuperating from 2 broken ankles (5 broken ribs) after being hit by a car while in the crosswalk, and this mat is wonderful for my PT exercises. I have the midnight blue, it is not that dark, more like a metallic blue. The mat texture is slightly ribbed. The carrying handle is stretchy so you don't have to fuss with compaction on roll up.

Quality is different by color
The foam hardness is quite comfortable for engaging all type of bones in work out. It ddoes not slide around on the hardwood floor. These apply to marine blue. I purchased green and onyx ones but they were pretty soft and marks do not disappear. See the pics. I retuened those and kept the blue one only. However, through their great customer service, I received a replacement at no charge as a courtesy. Thanks for Kevin.

Doesn't hold up long
Good for about three months tops. It begins to loose it's shape and tears. I do yoga several times a week. I wanted something with cushion for a bad knee. This felt nice, but the mat stretches under my feet in some poses and the other day my heel put a big hole in it while moving out of triangle pose. The material is too think and there is too much give, so the mat ends up stretching out as poses are done. Then it breaks down after about 4 months. I have had mine for just under seven months and it's done. The customer service at this company is great though. Kevin responded right away and sent me his high density mat to try. I will review it as soon as I get some time putting it through my routine. The high density seems to be a good amount of cushion but not as much as I was looking for with the extra thick. My knee is bad due to an accident many years ago and I hoping for cushion balanced with yoga stability. To really connect to the ground and have good balance, the extra thick is a challenge. some single leg poses can be a challenge because the thickness makes balancing more difficult. It really depends on your practice. I also practice outdoors and I use several old mats in layers. I will take this one to the cliffs and do my sunset ocean yoga with it now. It should last long enough through this summer season for outdoor usage before it tears apart.Be mindful it stretches. A wide stance can become too wide. I give the product one star but the company, Incline Fit, four for customer service. I changed my one star to two. I am rating the product not the support.

Genuinely impressed over quality. Great for exercising on hardwood floors
I purchased the thickest version offered (4/5 inch) since I wanted to use it on the hardwood floors. My exercise routine on this mat consists mostly of ab workout so the thickness matters. I have been using this mat for an hour every day for about two weeks and it holds up great. I am genuinely impressed of the quality of this exercise mat.I am going to provide my feedback based on other reviews:1) Stretch/Squish - Yes, this mat stretches slightly when standing on it, but mat with thickness of almost an inch, stretching should be understandable. Since my workout consists of laying on my back, the stretchiness is beneficial, since it helps with my spine/lower back.2) Moisture/Sweat - Some reviews mention that the mat allows for sweat to accumulate on it when exercising. As a person who sweats extensively I have to disagree with these comments. I didn't notice sweat on the mat after exercising, even though my workout clothes are moist. I believe that the vertical slats help with ventilation. Exercise mats are supposed to be cleaned occasionally anyway.3) No grip - I have to completely disagree with these comments since there is no movement on the usually slippery hardwood floors. I also tried it on the carpet and there wasn't any noticeable movement.4) Noise/Squeaks - Same as above point. I haven't noticed any squeaks while exercising.5) Smell - When it first arrived, there was noticeable smell, but it disappeared overnight. After few weeks there is no smell coming from mat unless you put your face right against it, so it's not strong.6) Tears - I haven't experienced this issue personally. Mat was free from any cracks, tears or cuts when it arrived and after working out on it for about 15 hours.I will update review after few more weeks.

Disappointing Product
I bought this item because of the positive reviews. I was very excited to get it because the hard floors in my apartment were preventing me from doing any floor workouts. However, I was very disappointed when I went to use this. Firstly, it came with a significant scratch/crack down the centre (see photo) and as I was taking it out of the package I saw that it's very easily damaged by normal use. Secondly, it had a terrible chemical smell that has not worn off after almost a month of daily use. Lastly, it will not lie flat if you roll it up between uses (the material is similar to a pool noodle) and it does not grip the floor nor can I grip it during exercise (my feet and hands slide around with even the slightest amount of pressure). The one saving grace and reason I kept it is that it does cushion me for my workouts so I'm not ruining my knees, back or hands. I will be giving this mat away and buying a new one.

Too bad about the flaw
The carrying straps that this yoga mat comes with, very unfortunately, have made permanent indentations in the yoga mat (which is made of memory foam); so it arrived to me with these indents. I am not using the straps to store the yoga mat these days because I'm afraid that it will just create more permanent indentations; this means that the yoga mat takes up a lot of space in storage. Other than that, this mat is very nice to do stretching on; it's very comfortable for the knees; much better than the conventional yoga mat.

It is a comfortable yoga mat
It is a comfortable yoga mat. The extra thickness is helpful for my problematic knee. However, I would never want to bring this into a class. It often makes squeaking sounds on my hardwood floor when I move around on it. It also did not take long (<10 sessions) for cracks and indentations to show up on it so I'm concerned how long it will last.

An amazing yoga mat!
This yoga mat does the job and the carrying strap is so useful! There are only a few problems after using it for over 2 years. There can be cracks that develop after prolong use and nasty stuff can be trap inside. I highly recommend giving it a good wipe after each session to prevent bacterial development. That being said, it is a good yoga mat especially with the cheap price tag!
