L'Oreal ParisVisible Lift Repair Absolute, Classic Tan, 0.70 Ounce

While I used to rave about using home chemical peels, they left my face a darker pigment than before I began them-with a few spots noticibly much darker. I was going through hell in high water trying to find a foundation that would cover these spots, look as natural as possible, and not dry out my skin. The amount of $ I have spent on this quest is ridiculous, and the time spent more than tedious. The only thing that came close to meeting my requirements was a Lioele BB cream-but it looked extremely unnatural. Then I saw the picture of the lovely reviewer above, and got excited. Ordering a makeup product online is über tricky when it's a product one has never tried nor seen the color palette in reality. I have pale olive-toned skin, and I felt the Nude Beige would be extremely close to the color of my neck. The foundation container was in perfect condition, and came quickly. I immediately cleansed and moisturized-buy purposely skipped any primer. I felt the enclosed sponge, then tried to apply with it. Uh, no. No person should purposely use something so uncomfy on their face. I then got my brushes....and tra la la awesomesauce! I dabbed the stippling brush in the pot and did my nose and about 2" out on my cheeks. Then, my foundation brush for the rest. Results are flawless! My pores were all but gone, lines the same. My tone is evened and NO DARK SPOTS! I have oily skin, and this doesn't go goopy or oxidize. I look polished, yet natural at once. And guess what? The color matches my skin perfectly...so no lines of demarcation. I am already stocking up *smug grin*.

I alternate between Sephora and department-store makeup lines, and drugstore beauty products from L'Oreal and Boots No. 7. This foundation is among the very best of the latter, and gives Estee Lauder and Lauder-owned Clinique a real run for their money. It is indeed creamy (almost buttery), glides on, and offers a medium-sheer coverage. I use a primer after moisturizing and before using foundation, and Visible Lift never sinks into my laugh lines or the few other wrinkles I possess. (I'm 60, but blessed with great DNA from a mom who looked 40 when she was 60. Of course, the addition of hyaluronic acid and Lauder's super-hydration cream doesn't hurt either.) I really love this foundation, and the price is right (even less when those coupons come in the Sunday paper). Even so, Amazon's price of $10.54, Prime, for this .7-ounce size is still a very good value. I'll definitely keep using it.

I love this product, but I suspect it has been discontinued since I have been unable to find it in stores for many months. This is the first cream foundation I've ever used, & it is a small miracle to watch my pores & the lightest of my freckles vanish with the swipe of the applicator sponge. It also minimizes the look of fine lines & wrinkles. It really makes my skin 60+ year old skin look amazing. The finish is dewy & soft. I prefer a bit more of a matte finish so I follow the application with a very light dusting of an ultra-fine translucent loose powder. The Nude Beige 125 works perfectly for my skin tone. I previously wore L'Oreal's liquid Tru Match foundation, but I really prefer the great, natural-looking coverage & ease of application of this product. All the great anti-aging in ingredients & SPF 15 are pure bonuses!

UPDATE: I am upgrading this to four stars. I started applying it with a damp stipple brush and I am pretty happy with it. Not yet sure if I like it enough to repurchase it.PREVIOUS REVIEW: I had great expectations for this foundation based on the reviews and its ingredients. Unfortunately, as so often happens when I have high expectations, reality let me down. While it feels nice and provides good coverage when you apply it evenly, I find this foundation is quite thick and therefore difficult to apply without looking cakey.The good:*The color I ordered (Creamy Natural) is an absolute perfect match for my light-medium olive skin.*There are a lot of great anti-aging ingredients in here. Who knows if they work but might as well use a foundation that includes them just in case.* The coverage is excellent* When you do manage to achieve a thin even layer, the feel on the skin is good and it is relatively lightweightThe bad:* This is thick and dry and hard to apply evenly. I have trying applying with a brush and with a wet wedge sponge and still had a hard time getting a nice even layer* Because it is thick, it seems to accentuate some of the fine lines around my mouth. In fact, it is making me notice lines I never had. That is NEVER a good thing.* This is not hydrating enough. I have combination borderline oily skin. I used a dry oil and moisturized before applying a foundation and I still felt like this went on too dry. In fact, i had to apply a moisturizer on top of it around my mouth area. Now my skin feels good but If you have dry skin and want to use this, you will need to moisturize very well.So, I am still on the search for the perfect foundation. I am starting to wonder if one exists :/ Perhaps I need to spend more money on a high-end brand but I hope not.In any case, I am going to experiment with this one some more to see if I can find a foolproof method to apply it and will get back to you all if I do.

I just started using L'oreal Visible Lift Repair Absolute (Nude Beige) about 3 weeks ago. It is by far the best foundation that I have ever used. Goes on very smoothly and is not greasy or heavy on my face. Covers well and stays on all day without getting shine-y - or getting a dry cake-like look. I have the usual "T" on my face - more oil in the middle and down the nose - and drier skin on my cheeks. This make-up goes on beautifully in both drier skin and skin that is oil-ier. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great will be buying many more Smoothes on to give good coverage without feeling caked

Excellent Product. Gives smooth, illuminance effect on skin. Though received the product with inside cake cracked with a wait period of 15 days but finish of product makes up for it. Reduced skin's age by at least 5 years, ordering another piece. 100% Satisfied.
