We live in North Carolina surrounded by lakes, creeks and ponds. My wife is a mosquito magnet and whenever we were enjoying our patio, she'd have to rush indoors at dusk as the skeeters set out hunting. We've used candles, zappers, burners with smoke, etc. to no avail as they'd always bite her regardless of our efforts. A friend told me about a watchlike device he'd use when he'd go fishing that really worked but couldn't recall the name.I decided to investigate and look for the device and found various models of devices available. I found various Chinese products that were cheap but looking into them, they offered no guarantees. Radarcan was the most expensive but it was also the only one to have studies backing their claims, a 5 year warranty, customer service based in the USA, manufactured in the EU and not China, had EPA compliance and was hypoallergenic. I also found that reviews for Radarcan were all excellent until the Chinese copies began to be sold and miraculously the reviews started being negative... hmm... Chinese trolls at work again.I pay more for a Toyota because I trust that quality will last. That is why I decided to buy the Radarcan. Two days later it arrived and I found the packaging to be good and the instructions very clear. It was very simple to install the standard CR2036 battery and to mount the hypoallergenic band. It has a single power button with two positions. Each position emits a bearly audible tone in two different pitches which is surely what keeps the skeeters away. The band adjusts simply on the wrist.It has been 1 week using the Radarcan and we can't be happier. My wife can be in the patio without being bitten for the first time since we moved and we can walk the dogs at night without having to shower in bug repellent. The sound it emits is bearly audible and I can't imagine anyone complaining it's too loud (would be like saying the slight hum of a fridge is unbearable...). It is as simple to use as putting it on the wrist and turning it on before walking outside. We can still see skeeters flying around the yard lights but they seem to stay away from her.Overall, we are satisfied with the Radarcan. So much so, that another is on the way...By the way... my friend's fishing skeeter deterrent was a RADARCAN!

Bought last May, and it has never been used for over 15 months, but when try to use it recently, found does not work before the center of the motherboard was burned out. see attached.The other 2 looks OK (bought 4 units together),not sure if mfg or Amazon can send a replacement or not if still in the warranty.

Great concept, however it bothered someone with tinnitus. Too bad. It would have solved the mosquito issue.

I live in SC where mosquitoes are quite bad in the summer and I wanted to try something other than spraying a ton of greasy poison all over myself so I bought this thing. Everyone in my family including myself was skeptical that it would work but I've worn it outside in the yard now for a few weeks after heavy rains and high humidity and I haven't gotten one bite. Not one!! I'm fair skinned so I tend to get them quite badly but so far this little thing works.I will say that the sound it makes is pretty annoying to most. It does have two volume/intensity levels so if someone (is) annoyed by it, you can always use the lower setting.Again, the only evidence I have that it works is that I don't have any mosquito bites and I've worn it religiously when outside to keep from getting bitten.It is a (little) bulky in terms of how high it sits off the wrist, but the band is really soft and comfortable.So overall I gave this four stars. I'd recommend it and I'll probably buy a couple more for family (if they can stand the sound).********** UPDATE ************I’ve worn this little gadget when outside for a couple of months now and I have not had a single mosquito bite!!! That’s simply incredible for where we live. Every year I get bitten really badly without fail. This is the first year in my life that I’ve had NO mosquito bites. Super happy I tried this thing.Side note: Do not get it wet. It doesn’t like thatHaha. That said, if you do, just open it up and take the battery out. Let everything dry for a little while, put the battery back in and it works fine.

This product is awesome! No bite ever since I got this! 2 different settings, 2nd setting is a little noisy but if you are walking outside you won't hear it much. I had a problem with the first one, but the seller responded very quickly and gave me another one, they shipped it already the next day! Great product, worth the money, great seller.

It is very hard to use. Good concept though. The start button is difficult to push to know when it is on or off. Especially we bought it for our 9 yr boy- he could not tell when it is on when it is off. Still have mosquito bite. Not satisfied.

I just got this a little bit ago and maybe have used it 4 times. The longest use was 3 hours. Went to use it yesterday and not working. Changed the battery and still not working. DO NOT BUY. Complete waste of money.

Little I new this product would be such a lifesaver! Bought it initially to give it a try, as read had a high effectiveness and people love it. Got to get outside first time, and didn't receive any bite, so I always use it now. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I absolutely love this product. Have recommended to all friends and family.
