Perfect replacement for 2005 W22 8.1L Fleetwood Southwind. Fixed my running lean with high fuel trims problem. Very simple to install

I'm a procrastinator. My check engine light has been going on and off for like 7 years and 80k miles driven in that time. Finally bought this and - as a lady (cough!) - I was able to do this nearly all myself. So easy to change it was embarrassing. Hubby helped with the muscle for the old original MAF that was hermetically sealed with dirt and grime, but otherwise a simple 5-10 minute fix. A simple youtube search before digging in. It fits my 2003 Tahoe 5.3L LT with 165K perfectly. Runs so much better now, mileage has greatly improved (from 15.3 avg per gal all the way up to 16.5 so far - woah...). The check engine light hasn't come on once since the change.UPDATE It lasted 2 months...aaaand the check engine light is back on again - exact same codes as before I put this one in. Less than 1k miles and it goes out. Not Happy. Now I'm forced to buy another one. Should lower my 5 star to 1 but I won't. bah...

Worked like a charm. Just like OEM and no more error code p0101.

Bought this in 2021 for $95 and right out of the box I was skeptical, had Delphi printed on the plastic, but not cast into the little aluminum plate. Worked ok (with no more P0101) code for about a month then crapped the bed completely. Truck would barely even run, thought I got a bad tank of gas at first, then came to find it ran fine again with the original MAF sensor (an actual Delphi that truck was born with). This is definitely a cheap chinese knock off! Will remove this review if I get a refund or exchange for real Delphi part.

I have a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban with 287,000 miles on it. For the past 2+ years, we have been having problems with pinging and sluggish acceleration. The past few months, starting in the early summer, we started noticing CEL codes dealing with lean condition on both the left and right banks. This condition normally indicates a vacuum leak and we addressed these issues by replacing the intake manifold gaskets, EGR tube and gaskets and exhaust gaskets based on an extensive smoke test revealing leaks on all these areas. While the performance improved and subsequent smoke tests revealed no further leaks, the vehicle kept on periodically triggering P0171 and P0172 codes. As the O2 sensors were the original, we then decided to replace them with AC Delco O2 sensors and checked. Again, we noticed a bit of improvement, but the P0171 and P0172 codes persisted.For good measure, and based on the symptoms, we checked the fuel pressure and we noticed to be trending to the low end of the acceptable range. We changed the fuel pump and an AC Delco model and while the fuel pressure improved and performance followed, the lean condition continued. Researching further, I found some articles that although all components I had replaced were the most-likely cause of this condition, some users had replaced their vehicles' MAF sensors for new models and they had resolved their issues.I found a Delphi MAF sensor in Amazon for a significant lower price point than the local auto parts vendors and decided to give it a shot. Amazon delivered the new Delphi MAF sensor in a day and it took me less than 10 minutes to replace it. While doing it, I had removed the negative battery cable and upon completing the replacement, I reconnected power to the vehicle. I took it for a drive and I have gradually seen the Long-Term Fuel Trim inching down from the lower 20's to now operating in the 5-7 range, with recently, hovering near the 0-3 range. Of course, not going over 25 is also resulting in the benefit of the P0171 and P0172 condition no longer triggering CEL alerts.While this became an rather expensive exercise of the hated 'replace-the-parts-to-see-if-you-get-lucky' approach, replacing this MAF sensor finally did the trick. In my case, I am nearly 100% certain that based on the age of my vehicle, and even though we have been very careful of providing schedule maintenance, some of its original parts had worn out and had to be replaced, adding the replacement of this MAF sensor was the final components that restored my vehicle to a reliable performance level.

MY suburban was throwing a code for the mass airflow sensor. I replaced it with this one and the code has not come back. Super easy to replace this on my vehicle also. Only needed a flat screwdriver or nut driver.

The part did have the Delphi labeling but I was shocked to find "Made In China" on the MAFS.Part did work, verified with live scan data. On a 2005 Denali, mileage is now in the 13s. Hope I don't kick myself by not buying from a local parts house that offers lifetime warranty, this Delphi MAF sensor only has a year warranty. But like I said, 3 weeks in and still going strong.

Same brand as the OEM, installed and it is working perfectly.
