My favorite wireless mouse
I have purchased countless of these m325 wireless mice over the years, both for myself, family, friends, and for work. Note that the m325c model is slightly different, and I prefer the m325.Battery life on these mice is excellent - I've gotten well over a year with the included AA battery. I do tend to switch off the mouse when leaving my computer for a while (leaving work, leaving my home PC overnight, etc) but I don't always switch them off.I really like the feel of the scroll wheel on the m325. I turns easily and you can give it a good flick and it will spin on its own. I've even turned off the mouse and used the scroll wheel as a stress reliever (sort of like a fidget spinner). After using the m325, I can't stand the scroll wheels on any other mice. One thing to note is that the mouse can become unresponsive for finicky when the receiver is close to some RF signals. For example, if you plug the receiver into a USB 3 port and then plug a USB 3 hard drive into the adjacent port, it will most probably affect the way the mouse works. I usually try to plug the USB receiver into a USB port away from any other cables, and I have even used short USB extension cables to get the receiver away from other wires. If you are finding that this mouse is not working well for you (not moving, jumping, moving slowly or with a jitter) make sure there are no other cables near the USB receiver, and/or try a different USB port. The regular color options are all nice - my favorite are the purple and blue ones. The black is unobtrusive if that's what you need, and they grey/silver is just boring. There are many fancy designs but many of those are the inferior m325c so double check before purchasing.Years ago, Logitech had these mice packaged in a plastic package that was almost impossible to open without hurting yourself. They have since remedied that problem, and now there is a tab to pull to open the plastic package. The battery comes installed and you just need to pull a tab. Plug the receiver into your computer and you're good to go. You don't really need to install the software just to use the mouse in the regular way. However, if you want to use extra features, have an on-screen low battery warning, or add devices to your receiver, then you'll need to install it (a painless process and the software runs unobtrusively on your computer without any nagging). The mouse is physically a little small, but I have large hands and I don't mind it. It doesn't have a crazy amount of buttons like some of the complex ones, and it might be the highest accuracy mouse for gaming or design work. I have used it for Photoshop, video editing, and music workstation (DAW) software and I find it adequate, but these are not my lively hood. One last note: I've seen the price on these mice range from below $15.00 to over $30.00. Sometimes it depends upon the color, or the seller/store. If you shop around, you should be able to easily find them at the cheaper end of the price spectrum.Seriously, this is my favorite mouse. I've been tempted with some of the more "capable" models, but ultimately I stick with the m325. I've personally purchased, or been the decision maker to purchase over 200 of them. There are at least 8 of them in my house as I write this review.

Far and away the best mouse to use with a Mac (2015)
I've tried every mouse on the market. Every single one. (It's April 2015 as I write this). This is definitely the best mouse to marry with a seamless experience on your Mac in OS X, after 5mo of use. Why?1 - Beautifully smooth scrolling of the wheel with micro-ticks - CRITICAL, as for scrolling, this feels the most like the smooth scrolling you get using a trackpad. That's one of the biggest things for a Mac user, and this is specifically better than all alternatives for that reason. It's not exactly like swiping on a trackpad, but it's extremely close. None of the jerky jumping up and down the page which feels like something lesser companies find acceptable.2 - Rock-solid wireless connection. Unlike the Apple Magic Mouse, here there's no problem with bluetooth interfering with Wifi. Note for those considering the Magic Mouse - it's a gorgeous product. It feels wonderful. You can't pinch to zoom, but all other gestures work on it. The only issue is, with ANY model of a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro, you'll notice it feels hard to hit targets with the mouse -- its precision goes in and out. The reason is that incredulously, the bluetooth and wifi wavelengths from the mouse and your own Macbook conflict with eachother. This is highly verified out there by folks outside of Apple. It's almost like they designed the product for an iMac, sitting on a desk with Wifi turned off and a wired ethernet connection.3 - Backward and forward buttons for browsing (rocking the wheel left or right).4 - Just the right weight to glide smoothly and feel good in your hand, unlike some of Logitech's bigger mice.5 - Takes one AA battery and lasts a long time - I really don't care much about this but it's nice.6 - Extremely accurate precision in using this for endless precision tasks like (a) coding (b) design work (c) writing or producing music (d) video editing - anything where you have to constantly click in specific spots and need that to be effortless. If you own a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro, your job is done. Get this mouse. I got three black ones.

THIS MOUSE IS A KEEPER!
I bought this keyboard and a Logitech M325 wireless mouse a few weeks ago. I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure that both items worked well over a period of time. The wait is over and I can say that they are both fine products. Before I describe their virtues I should provide some background regarding my setup and the previous products I have tried for the same setup. I have a nice large L shaped desk with my keyboard and monitor on one wing and the computer inside the support cabinet of the other wing. The distance from the keyboard tray to the computer is only three or four feet, but the signal has to go through me and the cabinet wood. I tried a Microsoft arc wireless keyboard and a Microsoft wireless mouse for a few months. They were a constant irritation because the mouse pointer was very erratic with long hesitations especially if the battery was not fully charged. The keyboard was better but it too would occasionally lag behind my key presses and the cursor keys are all grouped into one key which made using it a pain.I struggled along with the Microsoft setup for months before I finally got fed up with it and decided to try something else. A co-worker in the office next to me had a Logitech M325 mouse and it seemed to be working very well for her. I decided to give the M325 a try and boy am I glad that I did! There have been no drop outs, no lag, and the battery life is MUCH better than the Microsoft mouse I had been using. It is truly as good a pointing experience as a cord connected mouse.
